Rosemont B&B Cottages

There is NOTHING upscale about this property! We often stay at B&B’s when traveling and have stayed at numerous B&B’s. We have NEVER had this kind of a situation occur. We were shocked with the state the neighborhood and how unsafe it presented itself. This may be considered an historic area, but if so, it is in need of a huge reset. I did see signs indicating governor’s mansion was somewhat nearby, we did not investigate. We hurriedly left the area. I imagine the governor’s mansion must have round the clock security and a very high impenetrable fence. Also an upscale B&B does not have an unattended property with a “fix it yourself” style breakfast. (Just another little item this property fails to mention outside of the cancellation period) I didn’t even mention that issue since it seemed minuscule in comparison to the huge safety issues. We contacted the property management, expressed our concerns and requested a refund. We were denied. Do NOT stay here, unless you like boarded up windows or barred windows next door. What a beautiful place. England away from England. We stayed in the Somerset suite and it was a beautifully decorated unit that gave me the idea that I was in an English cottage. The innkeeper is friendly and is very prompt to take care of any spacial needs. Very well run cottages.

There were Many issues starting with customer service, I was going to book online but was told by the owner NOT to & to cancel my online booking & book directly through them so I did & was told I'd be charged the Friday before we checked in & was charged on Thursday morning. The owner doe NOT like to answer questions of any kind & becomes rude quite quickly! You have to park on the street which had not 1 but 3 homeless people who were very clearly drugged out of their minds talking to the ground & doing very sketchy things, on top of that it was muddy & no sidewalk to carry up the bags. I was booked into the wrong room, I booked the Gardner's Cottage & was put in the Somerset. The bed was ROCK HARD & I got 0 sleep, the sheets were dirty & there were 2 used matches laying in the floor upon check in. The breakfast is a JOKE! You get to choose either Pancake batter YOU have to cook or stale bagels w/yogurt, soggy granola & old fruit. No one is available if you have an emergency or need help. I will say that the home itself is beautiful & quite charming but the actual B&B experience is lacking.

May’s Cottage is a perfect blend of old-fashioned with all the modern conveniences. We felt very much at home in the cottage. The breakfast frittata and muffins were delicious, and there was a good assortment of teas and coffee. But it was a bit too cold to sit in the beautiful garden. The B & B is a very short drive to a wide variety of restaurants in the downtown area. We will definitely stay here on our next visit to Little Rock.

Stacie at Urban Cottages (aka Rosemont Cottages) was the perfect host. Instructions on how to find our cottage and how to get in were clear and concise. Our breakfast was in the fridge - all we had to do was put the waffle batter in the waffle iron and heat up the sausages! The king bed was SUPER comfy, and the whole cottage was decorated quite charmingly. The back yard was gorgeous. The cottage is within driving distance of anything you want to see in the Little Rock area. A local told us about Kavanaugh Avenue, where we found an AMAZING Brazilian restaurant called Bossa Nova! And we enjoyed driving around that neighborhood and the gorgeous homes. Too bad we only had one night here, because it was very comfy and felt like home! Only 10 mins from the airport!

Beautiful B&B, very cosy and comfortable cottage - we stayed in the Gardener's Cottage. Quiet and warm as it was quite chilly when we stayed. The breakfast was delicious. Would highly recommend staying here. It is a block away from Main Street and there are some lovely shops, cafes and places to eat. We had a lovely time.
