Our stay in this hotel was meant to be our honeymoon with my wife, we have waited 6 months to come and I am also here to attempt the Ironman competition on Sunday 07 May 2023. The need to relax, rest, and sleep in beautiful surroundings is our priority and clearly critical. The hotel advertises as 4 star comfort. We booked after reading their website, and after 3 or 4 email I paid 500euro deposit. Iif you search equivalent '4 star' you may feel that is a bold statement, especially after being here for 48 hours or so. Alarm bells were ringing for us. It feels very questionable if this is a 4 Star hotel, as an example by Tourist information guidance 3 star only put air-conditioning on at certain periods of the year, which this hotel does, this is an example of our experiences. Should a guest have to ask for it? When its advertised on website and 4 star is claimed? If you review the definition across Europe, you will likely come to same conclusion and experience we did that this place lacks customer care, guest experience and most of all holiday / vacation comfort. It should be recognised that the staff speak numerous languages and it is welcomed, but these languages are used to simply find reasons why the issues you may raise as a customer are your fault for not asking! Room 309 overlooking the bay, panoramic stunning views. Large double bed with ensuite (shower, no bath), desk, cupboard, safe. The room is pretty spacious and could accommodate us and my triathlon bike. My wife and I didn't sleep at all for first 2 nights and the room temperature showed 25 degrees at 3am in the morning. When this issue was raised with reception it was met with a shrug and told to open window/door. First, the hotel advertises Air Con on it website and literature, and second the sound of the sea and people outside did not allow window/door to be open. A plug in fan was provided on the third day, but is that the point? The website clearly states each room has independent air conditioning, that should means each room can be on or off and it wasn't. To research this point, Daikin website for independent air conditioning: (Individual Air Conditioning) Indoor units are placed in each room for individual heating and cooling. Each indoor unit operates independently to enable individual temperature settings. I am not sure how many hotels can be 4*, charge nearly 200euro a night and then not tell you the air conditioning is 'turned off'. Forgot to mention it when we checked in? No doubt a discount on the bill for incorrect advertising? Air Conditioning can be to warm room or to cool it, so we are confused why it wouldn't be on all year around for guest comfort? For the record, I was offered to move room at 1-1.30am in the morning (04/05/23), which is laughable as the air con is not 'on' any of the rooms! So, when air conditioning was 'turned on' on the third day of our visit, it is possible no one had flushed through the ac drains or residu
