Residence Inn Lexington South/Hamburg Place

Our 3rd visit here over the years — and we love it every time. It’s all so very classy. True, not a word often used about a Residence Inn, but this one deserves it. When is the last time the breakfast room had real plates, not paper. When is the last time the scrambled eggs were cage-free and oh, so-so delicious. There was also sausage, biscuits, the usual breads/bagels, individual fat-free milk, yogurts and fresh bananas/oranges/apples. Windows in the rooms are screened and open for a breeze. While there is no computer in the business center, it’s a snap to bring your laptop and print right there (all the easy instructions are posted). Fitness room has free weights, machines, plenty of towels and when the season is right, the outdoor pool is a delight. Grounds are immaculate and there are pleasant walks in every direction. Special thanks to Jeff on the front desk, who got us promptly into our room. It’s no surprise this hotel is so wonderful — since even Marriott recently recognized GM Kathy with its coveted Service Excellence Award. Nicely done (again), Kathy and your staff!

Hotel is in an area with lots of food & shopping choice so definitely a plus. Property is nice & has a small residential community next to it, so it’s nice not to be in an all commerical area. Front desk care taker was nice at check-in. We requested a room on the top floor (I’m a light sleeper) & were told ok but when we went to our room it was on the corner of the 3rd floor right next to the stairwell. Room was nice & clean. There was damage to the chair at the dining room table, looks like a cat may have clawed it. We booked a king suite with the spa shower. I wouldn’t go heavy on the “spa” a shower head that has 2 different sprays & some complimentary shampoo/conditioner/body wash isn’t what I had thought. Nonetheless it was a huge shower & plenty of hot water so that was a plus. Coming into the side entrance from getting our bags, you were knocked over with the smell of ****. I’m not knocking the hotel for that but it was there the whole evening when we were coming in & out. The beds were nice, I would have loved the pillows to be a bit more firm because my head went through 2 of them. Overall, it was a quiet nice above us & no late nighters coming in being loud. We could hear cars racing up & down the street in front of the hotel. Breakfast was a good assortment & the attendant was good at making sure things were cleaned & stocked. My only thing was the coffee was extremely bitter. Overall would stay or recommend.

The most pleasant hotel stay on our roadtrip! This hotel was quiet (yet not very far from I-75), easy to check into, clean, updated and had a plentiful & uncrowded breakfast. We would definitely return! One caveat - the pool is outdoors and only open seasonally.

This hotel offers two bedroom suites which is what we need when traveling with two couples. We have stayed here OFTEN and have never one time been disappointed. Our room is ALWAYS incredibly clean and fresh. This is the only place we stay when traveling through Lexington. We look forward to our next stay. Thank you as always to the staff and housekeeping.

I do jot understand why major hotel chains are short changing their customers. The hotel was clean and well appointed but why is the TV not a Smart TV? When my wife and travel we are looking for something which compliments our travel experience not one where we have to accommodate a bit of corner cutting.

This was a lovely hotel. We stayed in the two bedroom suite which was perfect for us. We stayed three nights and really enjoyed our stay. The rooms are immaculate and the staff is very cordial. There is ample parking and it is convenient to many good restaurants.
