Hotel Rodney

Fantastic!!!!! Impressed as soon as we walked in the front door. Historic, tasteful, charming, bright, friendly staff. We were there for a long weekend. Selected a corner room, 208, super clean and comfortable. Tasteful decor. We passed on cleaning services because we are tidy but saw them always about. Towels were fresh and absorbed very well and plentiful. Windows opened for fresh air, shower was clean and spacious, we loved the entire experience. The Bar/Pub area lovely, we just had drinks and chatted with folks, next time we will try the food (it did look delicious) Staff friendly and helpful. Bottled water aval downstairs any time, grabbed one on our way out. One can use a small lift or do the stairs. Walk out into Historic Lewes, park bikes in the racks in the town, park car for free a few blocks up......all a win!!!! Recommendations by staff where to dine and visit.....who can ask for more. We will be back for sure and stay again and again. Feel a very good value as well.

Friendly hotel in a fantastic location. From an initial phone call to checking in to checking out the service was outstanding, friendly and helpful! The location is perfect to visit the cute boutiques, coffee shops, restaurants, and not a bad walk to the beach.

The Hotel Rodney was our selection for our club's Girls Nite Out. and boy are we thrilled. The hotel treated us like royalty, it is a small property and it was given over so that our club had the property to ourselves. We are a food and wine club from a senior community at the Jersey Shore, it required a 3 hour bus ride to arrive. We did arrive at noon and Jessica the manager, Cathy the owner, and Tina the assistant manager were at the door to greet us. All of them helped with the bags and the owner escorted our driver to his parking spot. How more helpful can the staff be? We were then off and running to shop and then get ready for the rest of the day which I will give kudos to in my next review. The Rodney also provided the use of of their wonderful bar after dinner which was for us alone, terrific bartender. The Manager was there to answer any questions and wish us a good night. In the morning a delicious buffet was provided, this was especially for our group. Our group has been doing Girls Nite Out for many years this was without doubt flawless. This was at least our third time at The Hotel Rodney and the stay, as always, was enjoyable. The hotel is located in the heart of Lewes, DE, a delightful and historic town in southern Delaware. Restaurants, bars, and shopping are within steps of the hotel. Our accommodations were excellent. We stayed in a 2nd floor (3rd story) suite. The suite was luxurious and space abundant. The Lewes Canal is seconds away; Savannah Beach on the Delaware Bay is a few minutes by car and Cape Henlopen State Park (Delaware State Park), is about 7 minutes away for ocean swimming, bird-watching and beach activities. I highly recommend a stay at The Hotel Rodney.

Sister weekend! We loved the room! It was slightly out of the 50’s, but with the most comfortable beds and great bathroom! Perfect location and good restaurant on site. I will always stay there in future visits! Very friendly staff!!

Nice hotel right in old town Lewes in historic building. Great place to stay if exploring Lewes and nearby Cape Henlopen State Park. Rooms are nicely updated and clean, as was bathroom. Staff was nice. Windows can be opened which is a nice alternative to the air condition. There is very limited hotel parking, but we did snag one of those spots for our one night stay. Only complaint is that those old brick walls are not the most soundproof; could hear the person snoring in the next room.
