We stayed just one night after an event, simply needing somewhere to rest as a family. The YHA is a beautifully refurbished farmhouse in a stunning setting of rolling hills. We were warmly welcomed by friendly staff and impressed by the whole place. We stayed in the Granary, with a private double room upstairs and a bunk room downstairs—note the stairs may be tricky if you have knee issues. Everything was spotless, including the shared shower and handy kitchenette, perfect for a cuppa. This was our first YHA stay, and it’s really opened our eyes to budget travel in the UK. Special thanks to Collin, who showed us around and gave great local tips. The place oozes old-world charm with low ceilings and wooden beams. The kitchen was well-equipped, and the shared dining/lounge areas were clean and comfortable. It’s a great base for walking and exploring the South Downs. I've knocked off one star due to the noisy A27, which runs right next to the accommodation—traffic kicks off around 5.30am. Ear plugs are a must! It would be helpful if this was clearly mentioned on the website and if ear plugs were sold on site. Ask ChatGPT
