Excellent location perfect accommodation. Resort is perfect for a peaceful holiday, but near to everything you want to visit, super friendly staff, immaculate resort. 5 minutes walk to the beach. Accommodation seems private even though you are on a resort

We were staying in a 3 bed cabane. (Not the premium one). The unit was beautifully presented. Modern, trendy and immaculately clean. I did feel that the rooms were really small and there was very little space between other units. As we were not there in the height of season, this wasn't a problem as we had no neighbours! There were nice touches outside the unit like a sandy space for the sun loungers. The outdoor dining area was good however it is covered with wooden sticks which keeps the sun off but doesn't keep the rain off. While we were there, it rained a lot which meant we had to eat inside and try to dry all our towels and swimming gear inside which was really tough. There were only three of us so I can only imagine how it would work if there were six people indoors, trying to eat and dry things on clothes horses. The pool area was nice and very clean. It's very close to the beaches and a small supermarket. Staff were great. We ate at the onsite restaurant twice. The food was very good but I have coeliac disease and was frustrated that there was no food labelling on the menu. (For example, "Sans gluten". This makes ordering much simpler. Please consider clear labelling for people with special dietary needs: Gluten Free, Dairy Free, Nut Free etc.

Beyond Disappointing. Having read good reviews and being impressed with the website I booked for my family of four - 2 kids aged 9&13 years to stay in a Re Hut for 4 nights in the first week of August. Having visited ile de re on and off for the last 20 years I know the island and the different types of accommodation well. The description of the accommodation at Le Phare was highly misleading and the glossy website certainly didn’t match my experience. I felt completely ripped off and the cost for what I got was shocking. The hut was dirty dark and tired and old and by a main road so I didn’t sleep. I could have stayed in a luxury hotel for the same price! You have to make your own beds. The beds are very uncomfortable. The hut still had make up smeared on the bathroom walls from the previous people staying there and it all felt unclean. You couldn’t sit on the terrace as dark and covered in bird poo and pine needles. If you do stay here book a premium hut which is more or less the same price and much newer and looked a whole different experience! Also we hired bikes from the bike hire on site and that was a good day out. The pool was ok but very busy. If you stay here you’ll be satisfied if you lower your expectations. If you have any issues you’ll be as angry as me as no one deals with anything they blame it on management when you report it to reception and management don’t respond to any complaints so good luck!! Having reported complaints to reception they advised emailing management which I did. They /reception did offer another hut which was exactly the same as the one we had so no better so we stayed put. I wrote a complaint email to the management and yet to receive a reply. My stay was beyond disappointing.
