Very warm welcome and friendly hosts. Quiet location but easy access to the main thoroughfare for restaurants and shops. Very comfortable bed. Fantastic buffet breakfast. Room quite small but perfectly adequate for a few days’ skiing. Balcony not used but would be nice to sit out in the summer.

A charming hotel in a spectacular setting. I would highly recommend. Staff is kind and the food delicious! The garden is lovely and they have a large comfortable lounge as well. The breakfast buffet was the best we have had on our trip. It was a great place!

This chalet is very charming with the rooms decorated beautifully and beds very comfortable. Our room had a beautiful view. The outside of the chalet was adorned heavily with floral arrangements and the back-yard beer garden area provided and excellent place to relax in the sun after a full day of hiking. The food was plentiful and hearty, with service that was very good. Although the menu was fixed, they offered a soup, charcuterie board, tartiflette, bread, potatoes and dessert. You won’t go hungry! Service was outstanding as well, with the family providing excellent information and guidance for our TMB hike. Would love to stay again if I return to the area.

A lovely hotel. We arrived to a very warm and friendly welcome from the owners. The hotel is perfectly placed with restaurants and shops just a few minutes away on foot. Our bedroom was lovely and breakfast delicious! We highly recommend staying here.

We stayed here as we were hiking the TMB, and it was incredibly comfortable, quiet, and so perfectly located! The dinner was one of the best we had the entire time we were on the trail, and the breakfast was also outstanding. I would certainly stay here again!

We visited Gai Soleil again this year as we so LOVED it when we did the TMB 5 years ago. It is the perfect little hotel to stay in this beautiful town in a gorgeous part of the Alps, The service is great The beds are very comfortable The garden is a great place to wind down with a great view of the mountains with a drink in your hand. I cannot recommend it enough only disappointment is we did not stay longer!

Geared to hikers and skiers. An attractive place to stay with a truly lovely garden and garden bar with very fairly priced drinks and priceless views. Rooms a bit small but fine for a night. Staff local and very friendly and helpful although they can be rushed off their feet at busy times like anywhere. Easy walk into town.

We absolutely loved our time at Chalet Hotel Gai Soleil and didn't want to leave. Rooms were very comfortable and host Valerie is friendly, accommodating and all around wonderful. Definitely recommend getting a drink from their garden bar and soaking up the sun in the comfortable lounge chairs. We look forward to visiting again!

We stayed here night one of TMB and had a wonderful stay! The people that run this/work here are so lovely, the room was comfortable and the breakfast was awesome. It was a shame the weather was a bit average because the outdoor area looked like a lovely place to sit and relax. To top it all off I forgot my wallet in the room as I carried on my hike and the staff were so helpful to get it back to me en route, extremely grateful!!!
