We stayed september 2024 in room 312 the room was a good size with a good sized balcony overlooking the pool and the other side mountains. The hotel is super clean, towels changed every day, the cleaners did a fantastic job. Pool area was lovely and clean with plenty of sunbeds. Breakfast was tasty with lots of choice and the coffee was good. Pool bar served lovely cocktails and the food was good. Ioanna who run the bar was such a lovely lady always smiling and very friendly. Location is excellent few minutes away from so many bars and restaurants. I like to say a big thank you to all the staff they were amazing. We will definitely return.

Loved this hotel so much when we stayed at the beginning of September that we’ve actually booked to return next year. The hotel is immaculate, breakfast has a great selection and the staff are lovely. Perfect location for restaurants, shops and the promenade. Very quiet at night as it’s up a little side street. Nydri is a lovely resort with lots of boat trips to the neighbouring islands. Looking forward to our return trip!

Our second stay at this beautiful homely and welcoming hotel. It really was just like coming home. We believe that The G George is the best hotel in Nidri. Location is perfect with it being just away from the high street and port but still being literally a 5 minute walk away. Rooms are all clean and comfortable and the grassy pool area is lovely too, a great size and plenty of sunbeds for all. The staff are all very friendly and helpful, with nothing being too much trouble. Breakfast is tasty with lots of choice. The pool bar food was lovely too. All in all, a quiet home from home. We will definitely be back again.

We spent this summer holiday in Nydri and choosed George hotel. I didn't know much about Nydri and worried if the hotel will be OK because I choosed it for my and two more families. Luckily, hotel was great!!!!! Not too big but again...big enough that there is a lot of place (in restaurant and around the pool). Very close to the pedestrian zone but in peaceful small street. Parking for all guests is also big enough and reachable in the evening when pedestrian street is closed for traffic. Staff are great (big hug to Maria and Halid). They took care that we have all necessary during our stay and specially took care about the kids (there was always something special for them....pancakes our chocolate croissant :)). All rooms have towels that can be used for beach and changed daily. This was really great summer.

Lovely hotel, very close to the restaurants and stores. Very kind people working there. Good parking and also close to a small beach. Nice and cousy bedroom. Perfect location, and there is no need to drive from the hotel to the restaurants. They are really close but not enough to disturb the quietness

A really lovely hotel with a relaxing atmosphere. A real mix of clientele who were all really nice. Lots of sunbeds and seating around the pool and garden. Room was cleaned and fresh towels every day. Breakfast was varied and tasty. We had a lovely stay.

So often reality is not as good as the photos. This hotel is fab. Our room really was as nice as the photos. The grounds are exceptionally well cared for. The pool area is a joy to relax in. Breakfast buffet is generous. Different delicious pastries every day. And the staff are so helpful and friendly. Why pay more?

I can't praise this hotel highly enough. I went with my sister (end of September 2023). We both had a double, en-suite room with balcony. The rooms were amazingly clean, spacious and comfortable and the views were lovely. My room overlooked lush vegetation and the swimming pool and my sister's overlooked the mountains. Breakfast is a buffet with an array of delicious foods. The hotel is located in a quiet road but just around the corner is the main village of Nidri where there is everything you need including a vast array of wonderful cafes and restaurants. I would like to praise Caroline who was always there at breakfast (and most of the day) welcoming everyone, she always had a smile on her face and was so helpful and lovely and Joanna who was amazing at sorting things out in a calm and friendly manner, nothing was too much trouble for them. I will remember them both with great fondness. I only met Maria, the owner, a couple of times but both times she was most helpful and charming. One thing I would say is if you can hire a car it is advisable. Nidri is port so you can get around by boat and there is a bus service but a car means you can see much more of the island. Nidri seemed the best place to stay on the island in my opinion.

The George is everything a holiday hotel should be - welcoming, friendly staff, rooms cleaned daily and towels refreshed regularly, large pool, good bar and excellent breakfasts. There was, of course, the perennial problem if you wanted a late afternoon swim of guests leaving their towels on unoccupied sun loungers. Charges for air conditioning in bedrooms were also a bit steep.
