What an amazing place to stay, so clean and run by an amazing family. Right on the sea, super pool. Effie and hey boys run this so well. Stayed a few times and the pool area is so relaxed, the pool is easy to get into and just a short walk from the town.

We have been coming to the Athos since 2001! Except for the times we decided to stay at the Delphini which is in the op direction! Both hotels are 2 star and the bathrooms as basic as you can get but also functional! We returned to the Athos a few years ago because we like to book a package holiday with EasyJet as the flights transfers hotel & bfast are included in the cost and the Athos is EasyJet only hotel in the resort! The Athos has a lovely fresh water pool and views across the bay. It's a friendly hotel and Dimitri (I may have the spelling of his name wrong) on the front desk is a lovely helpful chap! Although some rooms are situated a long walk from the main hub of tge hitel we are generally happy with what we are allocated. Last year we struck gold and were given a lovely room with a view over the pool and of over the islands beyond. Fingers crossed we get lucky again as that room on the front made our stay at the Athos the best ever!

The small issues here are well documented. Yes the shower curtain sticks to you and the shower can alternately scald and freeze you. Rooms were fine, air con great, balcony on the small side though. Spotless everywhere, Breakfast is limited but plentiful. Disappointing that with a bakery almost next door, most of the bread is out of a packet. Pool are is a little cramped and we had only 1 day where we had there was a lack of sunbeds. We put this down to the hotel owning the pontoons opposite. Those that rent them can use the hotel facilities. Yannis in the pool bar as quite a character, ask him for a small beer and have a chat. Nick, the mixologist, at the pool bar is a star. Great conversation and yes the best long island ice tea, have three, see what I mean! Overall, a very peasant stay, a very good 2 star hotel but not worthy of 3.

So.. Just spent a week in Nydri or Nidri at the Athos hotel. The hotel , I was well impressed with the main foyer and entrance to the hotel. Staff friendly enough , as we was getting close yo the end of the season so hotel wasn't manic busy etc, which if you prefer that best book last week or so of the season availability. Rooms: they are basic , beds was comfy enough and have to say overall better than other greek hotels I have slept in. Rooms are a wee bit tired looking but again ok. Some complain about the shower/ bathroom, best advice is use it as a wet room. I did have any problems with that . Bedding changed only once mid week ( this maybe due to end of season , tho not sure ). would have preferred that to be more often , towels changed only if you leave them on the floor. the resort itself is lovely and can cater for all kinds food wise etc. never used the bar food service as loads of bakery's about to have lunch. drinks on the whole was ok beer was 6 Euros. glass of wine 4.50. cheaper drinks outwith the hotel tho. I would deffo turn to the resort. would;d I return to the Hotel .. Yes if I had too .

We have stayed here several times. We love the peaceful location with a gorgeous outlook over the sea and within easy walking distance of the restaurants. Staff, as always are excellent, breakfast is generous and regularly replenished. Lunches are good value. Everything is spotlessly clean and the rooms are really comfortable. We will definitely return!

Great location as close to restaurants and large supermarket but definatly in need of a refurb. Could feel springs in bed and bathroom was a hazard with water everywhere after shower with dreaded curtain. Rooms clean and good balcony, air con and fridge included which was a positive. Safe is extra. Breakfast basic but sufficient, would have been nice to have a better fruit selection. Weather during the week stayed not great but sunbeds always available. It’s been a while since Neilson used the resort, think time the hotel spent a bit of time to bring it back up to standard.. starting with removing all the Neilson signage on backs of doors etc and making it their own as currently shows how they seem to have lost motivation.

Positive things Location good, big pool, balcony, clean hotel. Negative things Dreadful beds, leaky shower - bathroom flooded every time it was used, noisy air-con, limited choice at breakfast, disinterested staff (could be end of season inertia). Lack of sun beds. This was our second visit, the first around 15 years ago. The resort has improved and has great restaurants, but the hotel looks dated and has not kept up with the changes. Better hotels are available at similar prices. Will not return.

A lovely , typically Greek hotel .Good size double room,with fridge, large mirror and hairdryer . Balconies to the left,looking from harbour,has the sun all afternoon. Friendly staff,and most important to us ,very clean . Pool a good size,lots of sun loungers. Great situation ,quiet end of resort,but short walk to restaurants and beachside bars. Hotel very popular with the more mature guests,maybe easier access to the pool and ramp for hotel access would be beneficial. Lovely stay,thank you .

The location of this hotel is great. Although still somewhat basic in accommodation (no kettle, but rooms do have a fridge) it did not disappoint with the clean and inviting swimming pool and Tree Bar. The rooms were tended to daily, and we could see the boats from our balcony. A short flat walk along the promenade to numerous bars and restaurants, where we could not fault any of the menus or offerings. Ideally situated for buses and most importantly a selection of boat trips to tempt you. We took the Odysseia daily cruise, which was absolutely fantastic, would thoroughly recommend. We also did the ferry to Meganisi, which at €1.70 per person each way, was a bargain! If you feel up to it, the short walk up to the village (150 steps) is well worth a visit. We also took the bus to Ag. Nikitas via Lefkada Town. The water taxi to Milos beach from Ag. Nikitas is €4 per person each way. Would definitely come back to Lefkada, still lots to explore.
