Hôtel Collège des Doctrinaires

Enjoying an optimal location in the town, with ample public parking across the street and an attractive physical plant, with a few more tweaks this really could be a four star experience. The staff are kind and attentive. While our room had four star ambiance, there were several frustrating demerits. A large armoire sits against a wall where the doors can be barely opened. A standup fan advertises AC problems, but there is no practical place to plug it in. Power plugs are located in the oddest places, two next to the floor at the door, and two practically under the bed. A minimal desk, under the flat screen television, has no light and no power plug. The biggest disappointment was breakfast. While linen napkins and quiet jazz music contributed to the ambiance, their buffet looks more like a 2-3 star hotel than a 4 star. Pastries, juice, jams and yoghurt are of mid range supermarket quality. The flow, such that it is. puts the guests in a very tight conga line to obtain their breakfast. We didn't try the eggs, but they appear to be cooked to order and served by a gracious employee. After several experiences of carrying heavy luggage up a number of stairs elsewhere, we were happy to have a ground floor room. But we could certainly hear someone tramping around the room above us. It is a reasonable conversion of an old school building, and there are charming courtyards front and back. Ir is a peaceful and dignified venue. But they need to fine tune some of their offerings.

Beautiful newly refurbished building with very comfortable rooms, good amenities and perfectly clean. Breakfast is a lovely setting but perhaps not worth fifteen euro pp each morning compared to a local boulangerie / fruit shop.

what a disappointment. We cancelled a meeting with friends in Toulouse to get to the hotel in the afternoon to use the spa..we arrived 16.45 on Sunday to be told the spa closed on Sundays at 17.00..this information is on their web site when I rechecked (click onto the spa tab,which I did not do) did not expect it to close so early. We had 15 minutes to get to the pool,but second problem is noone gave us clear instructions how to get to the Spa ,which is accross the road,so we missed out..second we were then told we could not use the spa Monday morning,as Mondays are reserved for sick people only. It's a trek to get here. There is no restaurant here,so checking where to go tonight.

Another wedding..... So minimal time spent here but what time we had was enjoyed. We had a light lunch on arrival on the terrace which was very pleasant, the room and bathroom were good and the general hotel and setting very pleasing. Lectoure proved interesting with the antiques 'hall' close to the hotel well worth an hours visit.

Excellent place to relax for several days in the south of France away from busy beaches and noise. The hotel is at the top of a small high street with lots of character, lovely walks or inexpensive bike hire to explore this beautiful region. Good restaurants, bakers, other shops are all on the high street few minutes walk from the hotel. Everything looks clean and the locals are helpful, polite.

Le service de bar proposé en terrasse n'est absolument pas à la hauteur d'un établissement 4 étoiles. Un "micro" jus de citron pressé qui avait le goût d'un jus concentré de type Pulco servi avec une eau tiède, sans glace, sans soucoupe ni serviette pour 7€ et un déca à 3€...cela ressemble plus à un attrape pigeon touristique qu'à une bonne adresse à partager ! Passez votre chemin...
