Nearly six months after booking a two night stay at Vera’s Kitchen, they have decided to cancel our booking, without an explanation. When I e-mailed and asked for an explanation, they told me that they now had a new owner who didn’t want to do B&B anymore. If this is the case, surely the new owner should have honoured the existing bookings and not taken anymore after that. To cancel just seven weeks before our booking is really bad customer service. Please note – to place this on Tripadvisor, I had to click a month for ‘ When did you travel’ - We were due to travel in August 2022, but the latest month available to me on the review page was July 2022. All other ratings in order to be fair, I have rated average or not sure.)

What an absolute gem of a place, spotlessly clean, full of character - millionaires shortbread waiting in the room, Netflix and WiFi - it was stunning. But let me tell you about breakfast.. Simply the best breakfasts I have ever tasted - first day, sourdough toast with scrambled egg, spinach and smoked cheese, the second day home made waffle , bacon and maple butter!! I was there for work but it all felt like a holiday. The owners were great sending me info and letting me park in the “keep clear “ in front of the courtyard. And everyone was super friendly.. I will be back

Well what can i say, this place was brilliant from the first moment we arrived. We arrived just as the café was closing but the staff were so welcoming and showed us to the room. We were in "The Stable" room and i would have to say it was perfect and much larger than we were expecting. The room was spotless and well equipped with small fridge, TV with complimentary Netflix and king size bed. I pre-ordered some balloons and flowers for the room which were beautiful and a great surprise for the birthday girl. The bathroom was modern, with large shower and spotlessly clean. We did have an issue with the TV remote but the staff sorted it very quickly. Bottled water and some brownie bites were replenished daily for a perfect treat. The courtyard is a great place to sit with a coffee and cake or in the evening with a bottle or too and its gated too so the dog was safe. Great choice of breakfasts, coffees and smoothies and very tasty they were too. The staff were just brilliant and couldn't do enough for us. We would defiantly stay here again and there area is extremely dog friendly which we love. Highly recommended.

This is a beautiful lil gem. Fantastic location, warm and welcoming staff especially Nicky/kimberley who stayed in contact with us and kept us updated as we battled across from Essex in the UK storm Eunice🤪. We eventually arrived to our warm lil boutique cottage room, located at the back of the garden with our own stable door entrance. The room was called (the Stables) it had complimentary bottles of water and delicious homemade cakes in a sweet jar🥰. The Town shops along with Vera's kitchen were closed due to the storm. However, the supermarket and the restaurant pub with its lovely open fire, both 3 mins walk were open. The room was a lovely warm space, rain forests shower with complimentary WiFi and Netflix to snuggle down to watch in bed (nice touch👌) . Breakfast was to die for😋😋!!! Absolutely 💯 delicious!! So much to choose from, all locally sourced and smoothies etc all made on site! (Loved that). We could of sat there all day with its relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff and warm aroma of yummy food! The must see picturesque village Burton-on-the-water 30mins drive and Burford 15mins drive, both with many coffee /gift shops and pub restaurants ( with open fires 🥰). Tip: if you are going to eat out for dinner, make sure you book a restaurant early especially fri-sun. We got lucky with our two evening bookings. All-in-all...I highly recommend Vera's kitchen to "Relax, Eat and Sleep" I wasn't aware of Vera's kitchen being joint winners of " Four in a bed" until I got back home. However, you are clear winners definitely a 10/10 and we hope to return later on in the year. Many thanks team and long live on Vera's kitchen! 🏆

Very comfortable. Very clean. The staff were exceptional - so friendly and helpful. Our car was damaged overnight while parked in the road and the perpetrator left without making themselves known. The ladies in Vera’s Kitchen checked the neighbouring CCTV for potential footage and put it on their Facebook page to try to get information, or whoever damaged the car to confess. The breakfast was superb. Freshly cooked and enough to last well beyond lunchtime. We will certainly be going back.

Vera's Kitchen is een ontbijt & lunchroom met op hun binnenplaats trendy verbouwde kamers. Wij sliepen in The Hayloft met een heerlijk bed met tv, een dressoir met daarop een waterkoker, fijne koppen en heerlijke homemade brownies. Met een open trap kom je op de zolder die zij verbouwd hebben tot badkamer met wastafel, douche en toilet. Ontbijt is in de breakfast/lunchroom en je kunt van de kaart bestellen. Parkeren kan voor de deur, het is een winkelstraat dus er geldt overdag een parkeerbeleid. Super vriendelijk personeel, voor de toekomst als tip dat zij bedrijfskleding/schorten aan hebben: hierdoor zijn ze beter te herkennen en houden ze hun eigen kleding netjes.
