A terrific choice in Lecce. On the edge of the old town within easy walking distance of everything. Looked after by the owner and assistant who provide breakfast in the courtyard and generally look after everything. Reasonable sized and very comfortable rooms, tea, coffee and cake constantly available! Just great. They have a tradition of making things from papier-mache in Lecca (known there as Cartapestai) - even church ceilings get made this way - and just round the corner at Vico Sferracavalli, number 7 is the workshop of Luigi Baldari who makes a range of figures. He bviously has something of a reputation because there are photos on the wall of him with the Pope and the Italian President. A really nice old man, assisted by his wife. Find him on Google at Cartapesta Leccese Baldari
