I totally agree with Nomad’s goal to be eco/friendly. They’re reducing the size of rooms while trying to provide innovative ways to better utilize space. As one person in the room, I had no issues with the room layout. Others may object to shower in the bedroom approach, but works fine for one person. My complaints are more little things except for the bed which gave me a sore back until I found that it was only the side closest to the bathroom that was a bit saggy. The little things: the high tech in the room needs more of an instruction manual than the desk or QR code provides. Yes you have a tablet that controls lights but not all. A couple are touch lights and the toilet light is motion sensor which means you’re blasted with light if you go in the middle of the night. The tablet itself doesn’t usually wake up with a touch; more of a shake is often needed. The TV guide on the tablet shows all channels if you are in French mode. Has a scrolling bug in English mode. Not all channels listed actually exist so don’t count on the BBC ones. And for a trash can, you get 2 separate flimsy plastic bags draped over a wire frame that immediately collapse on the floor under the weight of anything more than a tissue. And if you’re aiming for a budget clientele, it would be nice to have a not so eco-friendly mini fridge. People staying 1-2 nights may not care but I stayed 4. On the plus side, the young staff are friendly and eager to help though probably sick of getting tech questions constantly.
