Peacock Guest House

Had a great two night stay at peacocks, very relaxed welcome nice and simple as we like it. The room was very good nice size the same with the bathroom both were spotlessly clean. Breakfast is served in your room order the night before loads to choose from and the portions are ample to start the day. Parking is on the driveway and it's a ten minute walk into town. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend well worth a stay.

Very comfortable extra king size bed. Nice shower and bathroom. Lovely breakfast, ordered evening before, and delivered to bedroom. Very handy 10 minute walk into town and delightful prom. Lovely array of Italian ice cream shops and pubs/restaurants.

Wrote a review on peacocks own website but it wasn’t added as it wasn’t praising the bb as they need to approve reviews before there posted.we stayed one night and although the room was beautiful with loads added extras the room was freezing on arrival.Found out that radiator needs bled as cold at top but hot at bottom,was recommended this bb but person who did so stated in the sc cottage.This put a damper on our visit,shower in small bathroom quite claustrophobic so never showered until home.Breakfast ok but wouldn’t stay again as kitchen is so close to rooms you could hear microwave ping which woke us up.Now I know why the leave you earplugs in bedside drawer,great selection teas coffees and my favourite cappachino but if you don’t sleep due to getting woken it outs you of returning .

Lovely room with superking bed,small bathroom but no place to put our toiletries so sat it on window in bedroom.Shower small so never used it as on the larger side.Plently extras and loved they had my favourite cappachino sachets and good selection biscuits.Room freezing on arrival so turned it on and went out for drinks and food but in returning it was just heating up and noticed the radiator needs bled as it was cold at top but hot at bottom.Great sleep but woken earlier than I’d have liked as heard microwave ping for other guests breakfast.Would not return to guest house due to this but will go to their sc cottage as they have a hottub and get a longer sleep.

Knew this would be a fab place after a brief chat with the wonderful Elaine when I had called re a booking issue. Made to feel so welcome and right at home as soon as we arrived. Our names were on the door which was the nicest touch. The Peacock Room was spacious, clean and modern with all facilities and then some! Even chilled water in the mini fridge. Bed was super comfy and fan aided sleep in the hot weather. Huge selection for breakfast that we ordered by text after selecting a time of your choice and is delivered to the room by trolley right to the table. Huge TV with Netflix and wee extras like tiny jars of nuts and wee chocolates not to mention biscuits and huge selection of teas. Everything toiletries wise is in the bathroom too. Nothing is too much trouble for Elaine and she even helps with suggestions for great days out…..don’t miss the ferry trip to Little Cumbrae and Millport village. Will absolutely definitely be back, wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Largs!

Fantastic b & b in Largs, Elaine was an amazing host. Room spotless with lovely little touches, tea and coffee making facilities, wine glasses, fridge, charging points on bedside table and toiletries in bathroom. Breakfast ordered the night before (by text) and delivered promptly whenever you want in the morning to your room. Breakfast, lots of choice and absolutely delicious. Would definitely recommend
