Diamond Club Calypso

This was our second visit , this time we booked with resort solutions (uk) . On arrival check in was a breeze , very efficient. We had a 2 bedroom , 2 bathroom second floor apartment (No 57) . Lovely spacious sun terrace with big table and sunloungers . The apartment itself was spotless , extremely well equipped kitchen . One bedroom had a super king and the other twin beds . Both had plenty of storage . The lounge has a sofa bed which converts into two singles (we didn’t use ,but family members have previously and said they are very comfortable . There is also a single wardrobe /cupboard in the lounge for guests sleeping on the sofa bed ) . The super king was extremely comfortable. Apartments are spotless with frequent towel and linen changes . Only one niggle was the shower cubicle in the second bathroom is tiny , so we all used the shower over the bath . Hairdryers are provided ,along with an iron and ironing board . Decent sized smart Tv with English channels and Netflix etc . The complex was very festive , with a beautiful nativity area . We have stayed in various places in Puerto Del Carmen and Los Pocillos and this is by far our favourite. They provided a Cot , with bedding and highchair for our Grandson . Full size fridge , and a canny size freezer for the all important ice storage . Danny’s bar is a great addition, always receive a warm welcome and he will go out of his way to help you and give recommendations. Spar is a few minutes walk away , so very handy . Mercadona at the other end of the strip is bigger and has a great selection of food etc . Ideally situated away from the hustle and bustle of the strip but still close enough . Lovely walks to Los Pocillos and Matagorda.

Very nice and clean resort right at the "heart" of Puerto del Carmen and about 8min drive from the airport. Staff is very helpfull and nice, pool area is clean and the bar staff is excellent. 2min walk to the beach. If you rent a car you can go anywhere on the island in about 30 min. Very quiet resort in the night time so you can sleep very well and the appartments are very clean and have kitchens so you can enjoy own breakfasts etc if you want to. TV has wifi and all the streaming apps, you just have to use your own accounts for them. 9/10 would definitely go again!

Just home after a 4 night stay. Absolutely fantastic apartments, very clean, I would've said very quiet too but there was a screaming baby in a nearby apartment that the parents didnt seem bothered about. We were in apartment 26 and although we loved it, we didn't like its location, due to it being at the end of the pathway that everyone used, it was busy all the time so it didn't feel private. Can't comment on the pool bar as we never used, hopefully we can try it again. Also not happy about leaving a €50 deposit for the remote, we are on holiday so don't watch tv and seemed silly to leave it on a Thursday to get it back Saturday.

Lovely clean and quite quiet complex. Apartments good and cleaned regularly. Shame about having to pay deposit for sunbed cushions.

I had read mixed reviews of this resort but we really wanted something where we could just relax in the sun and move only for food and drink. This was perfect. Rooms were very clean, Danny's bar was open every day from 1ish and all bars/restaurants/shops a short walk from the resort including a large SPAR supermarket. In less than a 5 minute walk you can have your feet in the sea. It was amazing and we will be back!
