The Harper

I stayed two nights at this hotel with my sister for a relaxing midweek break. The hotel is very understated in a boutique style. We had a twin room overlooking the courtyard. The beds were very comfy and the room was cosy. The bathroom was a little on the small side but was adequate. We were on the DBB rate. The food was amazing on both nights and we were lucky that they changed the menu on our second night. Although there is a lot to choose from if it had not been. The breakfast was good also and they cooked the eggs to your order, even if it is not stated on the menu. The 30 minute spa slots were such a good idea - make sure you book ahead. What stood out for us was the staff and the lovely service nothing was too much of a problem. From the bartenders to the serving staff in the restaurant everyone was very pleasant and friendly. Peter at Front of House/Reception was outstanding, every little request we had he attended to with a smile and enthusiam. He even went out of his way to buy some peanut butter for our breakfast the next morning as the kitchen did not have any!!! Thank you so much for making our stay 5 star would definitley recommend this hotel and would come back.

Wow! Amazing weekend in north Norfolk. I said to my wife that this is what I would call ‘relaxed luxury’. The hotel is quite simply beautiful. 5* look, great service, but with a relaxed vibe. The attention to detail on the decor, menu, drink, staff….everything was superb. Big shout out to the kitchen - food was amazing. Not sure how I managed in life without a beef fat hash brown for breakfast! Thank you for a memorable weekend…we’ll be back 🥰

Our 6th stay at TheHarper and it just gets better and better! The food was outstanding. Our family group of 13 adults and 5 children were celebrating our daughter’s 40th birthday and the birthday dinner, we all agreed, was worthy of a Michelin star. The service everywhere in the hotel was great as always. Peter and Yasmeena had seen to our every need. The spa is lovely, the treatments fantastic. We had a perfect weekend. Thank you The Harper, we will be back!

Checked in to room 106 a “Biggest” room. Lovely large room overlooking the yard, which could be a problem in the summer, but nobody was outside in freezing January. Big comfortable modern four poster, fridge with free water and cocktails / beer and fresh milk (replenished daily), kettle, coffee machine, ice bucket - ice machine on the corridor. Popcorn and homemade cookies. Bathroom with a big bath, separate shower and Irene Forte toiletries in big bottles. Shower was a fantastic rain head. WiFi very good and plenty of charging options. No phone signal, though. Ate in the bar: very limited menu with only four or five options. Had a coconut and sweet potato soup (£6) which was delicious and a huge bowl of fries (£5). Service friendly and good. Bar staff young but attentive, reception friendly, breakfast staff great.

A wonderful hotel with a modern and homely vibe. We had delicious, high quality food at Stanley’s restaurant. My massage at the spa was fabulous. Would highly recommend a meal at Socius at Burnham Market also. We will certainly return to The Harper, Langham

We enjoyed two nights at The Harper in a biggest + double room. The room was great, spotlessly clean and very spacious with a beautiful bathroom. The spa is a real treat and it was lovely to have private use for thirty minutes each day. Robes, towels and flip flops are all provided. The Den is a great space with a pool table and board games. My only gripe was paying £9 for a shot of Gordon’s gin. The breakfast was fantastic, fresh croissants and a choice of cooked options, all of which were high quality and delicious. We had Sunday dinner at The Langham Blue Bell where the roasts were exceptional! Overall it was a great stay and highly recommended!
