Good points- - lovely professional and welcoming staff - food is absolutely sublime - building and grounds are beautiful - very accommodating for pets - a very nice and relaxing stay Areas that could make this hotel go from being very good to great (being picky) : - the bathroom we had in our room wasn't the best in terms of quality and also the shower could do with being made better. - maybe some fresh milk for rooms - better bedding - refresh decor in a few communal areas Overall would definitely come back and recommend to others.

A gorgeous hotel set in lovely grounds with exceptional staff and service. Warmly greeted on reception and in the restaurant. Excellent lady serving breakfast also. Food was delicious in every way. Room (23) was large, comfortable, lovely views and peaceful - didn't hear a pin drop all night. So dog friendly, our dog had an absolute whale of a time - exploring the grounds and getting lots of love from the staff, even got served a sausage for his breakfast.

A lovely two nights spent at this very comfortable hotel. The room very comfortable, seven double plugs available, unusual for a hotel! Breakfast was ample with good choice but the restaurant provided a very good menu which we enjoyed on the two nights we stayed. All the staff were friendly and obviously enjoyed having the guests at the hotel. Will definitely return as an ideal base to explore west and north.

I’ve just returned from a short break at the Falcondale Hotel and have had such a lovely time. The hotel is beautifully furnished with just the right mix of charm and comfort. The grounds are absolutely stunning, really peaceful and relaxing making the hotel an ideal place for a quiet getaway. The staff were fantastic. Without exception they were friendly and accommodating and you felt that they really cared about making your visit special. I loved the food. The menu wasn’t huge but everything we had was flavoursome and beautifully presented. I would thoroughly recommend the hotel and can’t wait to visit again.

Great hotel for a getaway break in a lovely area of Wales 👍.. The Falcondale Hotel is a very welcoming place with attentive staff on hand ..Rooms are well appointed and clean .. The grounds are beautiful. Will definitely return for a second break later on in year..

We had our very intimate wedding/gathering at the hotel & what a perfect venue for what we wanted. Most important to us was to have our two dogs with us amongst our nearest & dearest & they were able to be involved every step of the way. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff & team there & the food was outstanding. With the sun beaming the views were breathtaking - Thank you to Neil, Marco, Hannah & Matthew & team for making our day so special.

Went to restaurant for meal. The service was excellent and the decor is beautiful. The view from the restaurant window is stunning and we cannot fault the elegance and comfort of the surroundings. The food, however, was disappointing. The vegetarian options on the menu were limited and unimaginative. One of the main course was so salty it was inedible. The choice of desserts was also uninspiring. At these high prices we expected a better standard of cuisine. Such a shame for a magnificently situated hotel with kind and welcoming front-of-house staff.

This place totally exceeded our expectations. Very warm welcome and a very high level of care and service. Our room had new decor, matched to the house’s overall vintage feel. From the reviews I thought it was going to feel a bit dated but they do a great mix of old and new. Lovely lounges and bar area with a fire, perfect place to hang out and have a cocktail. The restaurant is lovely and food was great. Dogs are welcome but don’t take over. We are really looking forward to coming back.

I have visited this hotel on 3 separate occasions and have always received a warm welcome.the staff are outstanding,accommodating and very friendly nothing is too much trouble for their guests. Since my first visit, there have been changes all for the good, including menu decoration of hotel but the charm of the building is wholly aided by the outstanding staff. I look forward to further visits as I love this part of the country.
