I loved this hotel! I've been staying at hotels with another chain and this was so much better! I think the hotel was recently renovated as it did not show much wear. The aesthetic was very modern with laminate flooring overall. You could even see modern touches in the light switches. There was a small table with 2 chairs and an area rug. There was a platform bed with matching nightstands. There was a desk with chair, but no dresser. However, counter space spanned the length of the room. I thought it was a good use of space without being too crowded. The night stand had an alarm clock (thank you!). The bed was comfortable. The bath had good counterspace and a shower only (thank you!). Toiletries were in individual containers, not the larger shared containers I'm seeing at other hotel chains. I also liked the products. The only negative on the whole stay is it took a very looooong time to get hot water in the sink or shower. I was ready to give up. Hotel staff were aware and are working on it. Temperatures were well-maintained. There were usb chargers and plug-ins available. Another small rub, there was only one elevator working, so I took the stairs to the first floor and couldn't get out. The door to outside was alarmed and the door to the first floor was locked. I had to walk back up to floor two and take the elevator down to floor one. I also am not sure why Portland hotels are charging for parking. I think the water and elevator issues are likely to be remediated and I would stay here again.
