A customer of 7+ years. Never had a problem till last December. Visited on Christmas eve to buy some wine. My card was run but was told they had POS (connection) issues and the transaction was void. I then received an alert from my bank on my phone that a debit had been made. I showed it to the cashier but she insisted that no transaction was recorded. Perhaps a reversal would be made. I gave the benefit of the doubt. No option was given for a mobile bank transfer and so I had to get cash at the nearest ATM. I paid the cash and left with my wine. Some weeks later, I realize that I never received a reversal on that debit POS transaction. I provided them with evidence of my bank statement to show that payment was made to them and NEVER reversed. Basically, I was billed TWICE for the same bottle of wine. I notified the Winehouse on two occasions and finally spoke to someone in the accounts department. I was promised that they would look into the matter and the owner would be made aware. To date, nothing has been done and I never received any feedback from the Winehouse. It sucks but I will never set foot in this establishment and will never have a good word to speak about this place again. All over a bottle of Cabarnet Sauvignon (not even an expensive bottle btw). Shame!
