Cheetah Ridge Lodge

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Cheetah ridge lodge with our son; from seeing hunting cheetahs; huge male lion early one morning; black rhino 🦏; white rhino rolling in mud; hippo demonstrating; one hippo out of water early one morning; lioness hunting; giraffe; zebra and porcupines; elephants all magical game drives early morning and with magnificent sunsets .

The pickup from the parking and reception at the Farmhouse was efficient and friendly. Our room overlooking a dam was great, very comfortable and the inside fireplace was a bonus. Just needed more time to chill on the deck. The game rides were highlights with us seeing 4/5 of the big five and watching a male lion wonder past our vehicle. I suppose this is a must for the overseas visitors, but we are more used to driving our own car to a quiet waterhole and watching nature passing by while sipping our sundowners. The roads have been badly damaged by heavy rains and the maintenance crew have their work cut out to grade some of the road network. The meals were impressive but for grandparents tackling a three-course meal was a challenge. Sorry we did not spend more time sipping our drinks in front of the fire at the bar. The staff were all very friendly and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. We met new friends on our game drives and ended our last night with a birthday party celebration which was special. We skipped the last morning drive (missed a lion kill) and started our day with a leisurely wakeup and coffee and gathering of our stuff before heading off for breakfast to last us through the drive home. Our bags were waiting on the vehicle and after a friendly farewell we were taken to our vehicle to start our drive home to Sheffield Beach KZN. We had ticked off a bucket list item for visiting Nambiti and enjoyed our experience. Thanks to all those who helped to make it a memorable experience.

Amazing experience all round. Thoughtful and caring staff gives a nice personal touch. Great food, cocktails and twice daily game drives - saw the big 5. Highly recommend!! Also one of the only lodges that is fully all inclusive, which makes it quite affordable considering what you get.

We loved everything. The staff were so accommodating and attentive. The food was wonderful with a fantastic selection of freshly made dishes. What stood out for us was the staff knowing our names, and the personal treatment. The facilities were amazing, rooms very clean and comfortable! What elevated our stay from outstanding to exceptional was Leslie, our expert field guide, Leslie went out of his way to allow us to immerse ourselves in all things nature. As much as we loved seeing 4 out of the big 5, it was everything else in between that really made the experience unique, from the terrapin to bushmans fever tea tree, hippos, jackals, brown hyena footprints and a special trip for my elderly dad to the memorial of the Battle of Elandslaagte. We would highly recommend Cheetah Ridge.

Nothing is too much trouble, the food is amazing, the team are so warm, our ranger Les made the hol!

Wow, wow, wow! The setting, the accomodation, the food (great Vegan & Vegetarian choices), the staff, the game drives, everything was perfect. Would highly recommend Cheetah Ridge to anyone looking for a great holiday.
