To start with, 1.after multiple email communication regarding my stay requirement, and flight details, airport pickup with the director of sales William. After landing into Labuan Bajo airport, I came to know that everything was of no use. As after waiting for an hour I had to personally call to request for a pickup. 2. Reaching into the hostel, they couldn't find my booking, and when I asked to speak to William, his first reaction and approach were all very unapproachable. I was told, I am getting a better deal with stay and dives, however, the price difference between what was communicated by him in email and offered on-site was different. 3.during my 6 days stay, not once did I feel welcomed, not a single staff smiled at me, asked about my stay or even tried to make any conversation. 4. Since the entire hostel is run under French management, you will only find french staff (apart from Local Indonesians working under them) and french guest, who will not even initiate or engage in any sort of conversation. 5. When travelling solo, I stay in hostels because I get to socialize and meet other travellers, get recommendations from the hostel . but here it was just zero. 6.Thanks to the excellent dive locations and dive instructors like Rudiy and Francios which made atleast the dive expereince good . Once again, If you don't speak French, I would I highly recommend you to skip this one.

So much room for improvement. We could not run a tab at the bar and we stayed there for 7 days so we had to have cash on us the whole time. (while other guests was allowed to have tabs) They do not dive on Sundays. First day going out to dive we where scheduled to do 3 dives we only ended up doing 2 dives as they did not bring enough cylinders. Then we where put in a group with open water divers and ended up only doing a 40 min dive. The room was nice with clean bedding. But the bathroom could have been cleaner. The bassinet leaks all over the floor. The local staff was very friendly and the pool was nice. A cool place to stay. But not for 7 days.

As my first ever Real hostel stay, i stayed at komodo dragon dive for 3 nights. The last Night We were moved to a new room due to mixup with bookings - Kiwi. The next morning i left for 3 days to be on a liveaboard. In the morning before We left, i noticed Big areas of red bite marks, and only more during the Day appeared. For 3 days on the boat, i almost scratced my skin of - allergic reaction to bites and no possibility to get medical Care. It was awfull! We have already booked a Night when We Got back to stay at komodo dragon dive, and at this point i didnt know it was bedbugs for sure, so i asked the staff if They have had previous history of bedbugs in that room - They said only in another building. Later that Night i was told by a friend a woman had moved out of kiwi due to bedbugs. It made me a bit frustrated that i was lied to, and taking into consideration the last 2 nights without sleep, having bites on my face, arms, legs, feet and hands, having to pay for medical care and so, so just to make sure i checked the new private room We booked, and guess what - ALSO bedbugs. For me this was definatly not a good first hostel expirience! I spend more than 1.300.000 IDR just to get everything (bags, clothing, shoes) washed, to get medication, get last things sprayed and had to through items as Well - and Im not even sure that We are secure yet. When that is said, the enviroment at the hostel,the people and location is really Nice. But yes, this stay was expensive in more than one Way....

The place might look like a backpacker place but it is not. You will pay 230K for a night in a tiny 7 persons dorms without any breakfast included. Having travelling a lot around Indonesia, this place is a bit of a scam to me. The atmosphere is weird, it is hard to describe but, everything is extra and quite expensive (e.g. a bottle of water is 25k), there is no real friendly relationship with the owner and the staff, you are not allowed to bring food or drinks for the outside... you feel like a cash machine. It is unfortunate as the place has some potential with a deep swimming pool, an interesting decorations and setup. Lowering the price, including the breakfast and being more friendly will make everything better. All in all i believe it is a management issue.
