We really liked La Digue and after visiting Prasin before found it laid back and relaxed. The hotel is on the water front with great views over the sea from the restaurant, which is a buffet breakfast and dinner but good quality. Getting over from Praslin by a Cat is fun and we were met at the jetty and taken to the hotel. The first 15 mins were poor, staff chatting to themselves and largely unready for a new party of residents. However, once we were checked in and taken to our room we began to really enjoy the experience. We had a Villa de Charm which I would strongly advise, may be more expensive but you are higher up the hillside with terrific views- look out for the tropic birds and giant fruit bats! There is a buggy service but walking down is OK. There is a lot to see on La Digue so do plan and enjoy it. Bicycles and available but one of count not cycle! so we did do a lot of walking. Staff were fine once we got over the poor check in, and sadly we only stayed 3 nights and we were off to Silhouette, could have stayed longer

Supposed to have 4 nights here, wished we had a day only and not bothered staying over. After the first night we left and stayed at Patatran Hotel which is amazing in comparison and cheaper. Sadly they didn’t have any rooms available for next 2 nights so had to return to La Digue Island Lodge ☹️. Only did another night then left the island, definitely the worst hotel we’ve ever stayed in. Room and bed tiny (yellow house), a/c didn’t work properly, noisy and varying temps., so had to switch off and in 28c temp at night was unbearable. Asked if they had other rooms to move and a blunt no, even though we came across people leaving early (as hated it). The very few people we spoke to (which wasn’t many and we tried) all Disliked the place. Two couples who were staying in beach bungalows described it to us as like camping with a decent bathroom. Food nothing special, did HB, first night they ran out of things and some eventually got replaced but as we were leaving. Was like a canteen with not a lot of choice. Breakfast worst we had in all of the Seychelles, not much choice, hardly any fruit, bland. Staff in canteen really not pleasant, like they didn’t want to be there, and plates not cleared away very quickly. Went to bar before and after dinner, no one there hardly and again had to wait for drinks, ordered mine and waited around 20 mins for a cocktail from one of the staff. Room we stayed in dusty and old, although bathroom was big and best part about the room. Pool area grubby and pool was dirty, didn’t venture in it. Security guy on the gate the only friendly staff we came across, This place is run down and living on Its reputation it was the first on the island. Either needs shutting down or a massive refurb. It is so over priced for what you get, there are far better places on the island to stay. Definitely the worst place we stayed in Seychelles really wish we’d left after 1st night and not put ourselves through this when on a holiday. Also it seems to attract very unfriendly people who want to be in bed by 8.30pm, absolutely no life after 8.00pm at night. If you want to visit La Digue do it on a day trip, you Can cycle around within 2 - 3 hrs and see all you need to see, really not a fan of the Island, so many better places to see on the Seychelles.

Regresamos exactamente 10 años después de nuestra primera visita. Y estoy muy contenta de haberlo hecho. Cocotier Du Rocher está ubicado en un jardín tropical que te hace relajarte y disfrutar desde el primer momento. Teníamos ganas de volver con viejos amigos que no habíamos visto en mucho tiempo. El lugar consta de casas pequeñas totalmente equipadas para autoservicio, con cocina, una nevera grande y todo lo necesario. Viajando con dos niños pequeños, a veces las habitaciones de los hoteles normales parecen un poco pequeñas al necesitar camas supletorias. Aquí no, teníamos una cama tamaño king y dos camas normales para los niños, y la gran terraza con dos tumbonas es perfecta para una familia. El bonito baño que incluye una ducha a ras de suelo, aire acondicionado, ventilador de techo y una ducha exterior adicional completó la hermosa y limpia casa en la que nos hospedamos. La ubicación en la isla es en realidad una ventaja secreta. Básicamente, puedes llegar a todas partes de la costa oeste en 15 minutos en bicicleta. Por lo tanto, desplazarse es fácil y rápido, pero al mismo tiempo, es posible que desee evitar la corriente turística diurna que se desplaza desde el puerto hasta Anse Source d'Argent y viceversa. Si te quedas un par de días en La Digue, quizás quieras ir a Anse Severe para ver la puesta de sol, bajar a Grand Anse, Petite Anse y Anse Coco, o subir la colina hasta Nid d'Aigle o la Reserva Natural Veuve. y otras ubicaciones. También se encuentra a unos 600 metros del puerto, sin pagar un taxi relativamente alto (el taxi de Samuel debe descuentar, o es realmente caro). La isla de Radigo también es pequeña, alquila una bicicleta para jugar a toda la isla. Hay la playa más hermosa aquí, la playa necesita pagos para ir. Pero hay un significado de la cara que puede ser vista de forma incondicional, el paisaje es hermoso, pero la arena es más dura.

Wir hatten im November 2022 hier 4 Nächte verbracht und waren super zufrieden. Die Zimmer sind modern und hübsch eingerichtet und sauber und geräumig. Wlan hat super funktioniert. Die Küche hat auch alles was man braucht: Besteck, Teller, Gläser, Töpfe usw. Toaster, Mikrowelle und eine Herdplatte sind auch vorhanden. Der Kühlschrank inkl. Gefrierfach funktionierten einwandfrei. Unterhalb den Zimmern ist die Rezeption und ein Supermarkt (auch Sonntags geöffnet). Was sehr praktisch ist. Am Wochenende war es ruhig. In der Nähe gibt es alles was man braucht, Fahrradverleih, Restaurants, Souvenirshop. Die tägliche Reinigung und Handtücherwechsel hat auch immer super funktioniert. TV, Safe, Wäschetrockner und großer Balkon mit Tischen und Stühlen gibt es auch. Der Aufenthalt hat uns super gefallen und würden auf jeden Fall immer wieder kommen. Gerne wieder.

Whilst this was the only non-5 star hotel of our trip, we were pleasantly surprised by this hotel. The room was clean and comfortable, and the shower was hot with good pressure. We didn't eat dinner in the hotel, but breakfast was good but simple. I especially enjoyed the crepes! The location is great, and the staff arranged bike hire for us. The staff weren't overly friendly, but were completely adequate and there were no issues during our stay. We had a lot of rain during our trip and spent most of one day in the room, so we were grateful to have the sea view room. I travelled with a friend, and the sea view room can be made into a twin room. It's just about walkable with luggage from the jetty, but we took the hotel transportation back to the jetty at the end, which cost 150 SCR.
