We originally stayed in 2021 in Flint Cabin. We'll list the positives first. The hosts had good communication in the lead up to the stay and were welcoming upon arrival. The property itself is beautiful and tranquil and we loved that we could take our Labrador. Flint cottage was beautiful, peaceful and had amazing views from the balcony out over the bush. The bed was super comfy and we appreciated the welcoming touch of wine and cheese. The breakfasts were tasty and with a fairly good selection. Unfortunately the TV remote and spa didn't work on our first night and there was black mould caked onto the shower head. There was an incredible amount of dust on the blinds (which was disturbed and fell onto the bed when we opened the window). The hosts were incredibly apologetic about the difficulties we encountered and sorted a new remote and shower head after breakfast the next morning. They also assured us the spa problem would be rectified by flipping the spa switch in the circuit board. Unfortunately that night when we tried the spa again, it kept tripping the switch. Super disappointing to book a spa cabin and not be able to use the spa for our 20th anniversary. Again, the hosts were very receptive to feedback. They tried to offer money, and when we declined they offered us a complimentary stay. We tried to organise this for December, but unfortunately there was no availability. We tried again in April this year and after several emails (where initially our stay was declined despite 3 of 4 cabins being available) were eventually advised the day before our proposed arrival date that a stay was possible. Unfortunately the hosts would not accommodate us in Flint despite it being vacant (and remaining vacant for the duration of our two night stay). Instead we were in the Bushland Cottage. We enjoyed having two nights away in a beautiful location, but we were very disappointed in the accommodation. The seal around the freezer was incredibly mouldy. The ice cube tray had a film of scum on it. We got a plate out of the cupboard which had a small piece of food on it (and there's a sign in the kitchen which says an additional cleaning fee of $50 is incurred if dishes aren't washed and dried, which leads me to think that cutlery, crockery and other kitchen items are not routinely cleaned between guests). The light fixture in the bedroom was a cemetery for dead bugs (to the point that my husband originally thought it was a pattern in the glass). We had troubles lighting the fire on the first night because the ash drawer was completely full. There was no ash bin supplied, so we had to take the liner out of the kitchen bin and use that to empty out the ash from the fire. The hob worked but the oven didn't. Tea and Coffee were supplied, milk was not. There were many holes in the flyscreens so we had to keep spraying the mosquito's. When we went to use the spa the water was filthy. I understand that tank water can be slightly discoloured (especially given all th
