7Days Inn Hotel Kunming Railway Station Dayuecheng

The room looked old and smelled musty, as if no one's been in it for so long. The room is quite clean with basic amenities except air conditioning. The room didn't have air-conditioning and there was only one small window viewing out to the neighbouring apartments. We had kept the window open at all times to reduce the room's strong smell. They provide luggage storage before you check in/after check out. On the second day, our room card got declined, maybe they forgot to extend it. It was quite annoying as we were so exhausted after travelling around the city on foot. The price is quite high maybe due to the summer season. Metro station is quite the walk away, you need to cross a few main roads to reach the South Ring Road metro station. There's also a few halal restaurants nearby the hotel. Even continue after 2 days stay still require to book online so a bit inconvenience.

Great place where you can book a couple hours stay to freshen up before taking an overnight train at Kunming Railway Station. Staff are friendly but the room was not cleaned well.

The location was great! The local shops were near by where we could enjoy local dish for the dinner. We took Didi all trip so no problem travelling around but though, public transportation was still like 5 minutes walk to go. The window was broken so cold wind brew into the room but air conditioner worked fine so that the temperature didn't get cold during the night. The staff was informative.

Room was small but clean. Basic facilities were available.

Good place, location, personal. But there was the smell of cigarettes 😕
