Cigarette smoke!
The smell of cigarettes in the room was so strong we had to cancel our stay here. The hotel was friendly enough to move us to another room, but there it also smelled of cigarettes a lot. So they cancelled our booking for a fee.
The rooms seem to be smoking, even if you book non-smoking. There are ashtrays in the rooms and in the corridor.
Unless the policy and non-smoking rule is enforced, I would not recommend to stay here. Other than that the location, size if room and such were pretty nice.

Hotel room is clean and tidy. Very nice for a couple and solo travelers. There is cafe and ice cream store around too!

Ease Hotel is located at Shulin Street near the ZhangKe Art Exhibition Centre which houses mainly upmarket cafes, restaurants and pubs. There's After Taste Bar, First Carl Pub, etc for Pubs and cafes such as The Mushroom, Dear Iris and Pain Pang, etc. A very nice place to chiil and relax. Everything from location, cleanliness to service was good except for the fact that the air cond wasn't working well. It was so hot and stuffy inside the room.

Very good location. Enjoyed staying here. The facilities are also good. Corridor carpet can do some cleaning. It's located on a not good street with plenty to eat and drink.

The check in process was okay
The location was good but need to walk about 2km or more to famous streets
Kept the luggage after check out
Really soft and comfortable bed to sleep in
The only bad side was the nearest subway is far from from this hotel where we can only take didi or taxi to
Over all I still recommend to stay at this hotel

Great location, near city center but still quiet street. Room was large, but needs updating. Bedding & towels were threadbare & dingy. There was cigarette smell even though supposedly non smoking room. Breakfast was quite good. Service were excellent.

The hotel does not has the first aid box for emergency matter.
The hotel has not pre inform the guests in advance that the public road in front of the hotel is a progress of upgrading works and even more no complimentary for such inconvenience matter.

The room was quite large and had lots of sunlight, which was nice, but it was a little disappointing that there was a lot of dust in every corner under the furniture on the floor and the curtains were dirty. Next time I visit Kunming, I would like to book this hotel again if you pay a lot of attention to cleanliness.

We only spent a short night here before travelling onwards. Small room but everything works perfectly (incl strong enough wifi to do video calls), very clean and super friendly front desk staff. There are a few restaurants nearby. Convenient location not far from city center. In the morning, it was a bit difficult to get a Didi to come to this location because there is a school in the same street and everything was jammed with cars dropping off their kids. If you walk to the entrance of the street for a few minutes it will be much better.
