The Chow Kit - an Ormond Hotel

Estuvo bien. Un lugar encantador. La nevera estaba estropeada. No había servicios hasta que los pedimos. El aire acondicionado era ruidoso. Ojalá sigan manteniéndolo en buen estado.

The location and the vibes of the hotel is outstanding with full of characters.. albeit the hotel room is small but still manageable …

Ambient is great, aesthetic and super good! Suits for couple! Staffs were friendly and very helpful through out the check in process. Easy to get food around the place. Walking distance to Jalan TAR. Highly recommended! I would come again here for another staycation

I like the overall idea of hotel design and convenient transport (monorail). However, in certain areas, I felt that the lighting could be improved, i.e., inside the lift. It was too dark (understanding the design in darker colors); it took time to find the number. Amenities in the room: I booked my room through Trip.com. It was mentioned that most of the hotel usually provided amenities. I was surprised when I checked into the room; there was nothing except handwash, shampoo with conditioner, and body wash. I had to call the front counter to verify. This should have been upon arrival. The front counter staff should have explained beforehand. I even found out the next day that the drawer file stated you could request a baggage rack. The water dispenser outside for hotel guests' use should come with a hot water function; that would be great. I liked the dinner at The Chow Kit Bistro. It was very satisfactory. The staff was friendly too, especially the male Malay manager (sorry, I forgot his name) sharing the Chow Kit historical information. It made the night more meaningful and made me want to stay in this area.

Fine for a short time, wouldn’t consider 5 star. Cleanliness should be improved, especially the floors. There was hair and stuff on the ground next to my bed, and what appeared to be another guest’s old contacts.

I booked a Den room with Queen bed, the hotel give me two twin bed combined. And not finished yet, the blanket not cover at all got three layer, bedsheet+cotton cloth+bedsheet with no zip. When I sleep the blanket is like here and there make me not comfortable and the combined twin bed middle have line so hard to sleep well. I asked in front desk to change the room for me, the person told me there was full and the other room also twin bed combine as queen/king bed. I was like feel being cheated. Funny things is the person who name Sean said to me why no put on request don’t want combine bed. I told him I never met this issue, even I booked king/queen room the hotel will give me the exactly room. Not like your hotel customer paid to stay comfortable but u want to earn more give what to customer ? If sold out the room pls don’t sell on the platform to confuse people. Amenities in this hotel is nothing. U need request but they only have toothbrush, no more . This hotel with the outdoor parking also need charge rm15 per day ? And duno why this hotel get travelled award maybe for instagramer. I already inform the front desk I will late check out, their staff still open my door when I’m inside. Luckily I’m not in bathroom. Will be the first and last time stay here.
