Windhoek Resort Bonaire

This was a very nice and lovely experience! The resort feels like you are in a little forest like get away. We stayed in the two-bedroom villa, which is nice for 2,3 and 4 people. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything to make yourself at home. The hosts make sure that everything is to your liking, they were very helpful with getting us a taxi, options for renting and even getting our way around. Would truly recommend to stay here when visiting the beautiful Bonaire.

My husband and I travelled to Bonaire for the first time this month, March 2025. We were absolutely delighted with Windhoek Resort. The setting is gorgeous, and the pictures in their website actually reflect how lovely the resort is! Our villa was perfectly equipped for what we needed…a well appointed kitchen space, a clean and spacious suite with a mosquito net on the bed (thank you for this so much!). The only tiny negative was that we needed the netting, as there were mosquitoes, but that’s just part of coming during this particular season, and the resort had all of the supplies to minimize their impact! The owners and staff at the resort are all wonderful, friendly, generous, and kind, and it was a pleasure interacting with each of them! They also sell the most amazing sunscreen we’ve ever used…Island Tribe! We loved it so much that we stocked up and brought some home with us. That and a mosquito swatter! We are so grateful for the amazing opportunity to experience Bonaire for the first time…snorkelling, visiting the donkey sanctuary, trying a lionfish burger, exploring the island and learning what a cadushy is, and meeting so many friendly people. We came for the wind, so we were spoiled to be able to spend many of our days harnessing the wind at Sorobon beach on our wing foil. Those experiences were all unforgettable, as staying at Windhoek has been. We very much look forward to our next opportunity to visit Bonaire and Windhoek!

We have stayed at many different places in Bonaire. Windhoek is by far our favorite. The whole atmosphere there lets you relax and reload. Very nice to chill by the pool. Comfortable beds and well equipped kitchen. There is nothing I didn’t like

Wingfoil fanatics who found an excellent place amongst likeminded people & a relaxed atmosphere. Highlight was the bring your own bbq with other guests and owners. Privacy also guaranteed thanks to smart planning and lay out of the apartments. Just a 10 min drive from windsurf & Wingfoil spot 🤙🏻

Our stay at Windhoek Bonaire was absolutely perfect. The facilities that are at the resort are simply everything you could wish for. The swimming pool has the perfect temperature, there’s a little shop that has convenient products like sunscreen and mosquito spray and, there’s a self service bar with fresh cold drinks. There are also things that are so good, you didn’t even knew you need it, like an ice cubes machine, cool boxes to take with you on trips and snorkeling gear. All free of charge. Also there’s a pool table, magazines and games you can lend. Then the apartment. It has everything you could need in an apartment and more! The bed with mosquito net is good, the shower is good, the spacing is great and the kitchen is perfect. In the kitchen you have everything you need. Even a dish washer. Also get housekeeping and fresh towels for in the appartement and the beach. When staying on Bonaire, Windhoek resort is the place to stay!

I was planning a trip to Bonaire with my 16 year old daughter and wanted to stay away from a large, all-inclusive resort. Of course I was searching for something safe and close to the beach. I also wanted the option to prepare food on our own as we did not wish to eat every meal out. Windhoek is the resort of my dreams. An oasis away from the center of town, this haven of relaxation was our home for a week on the island. The pool is pristine with an outdoor shower, comfy beach loungers and plenty of shady areas. There is a central kitchen and a stocked refrigerator with sodas/beer for purchase along with water and ice to fill your water bottle for the day and bring one of their coolers to the beach with you. Our villa had an open air living/dining area with the most comfortable hammock. The kitchenette is stocked with exactly the appliances and dishes you could need along with a magic mix coffee maker with complimentary coffee pods. The bedroom and bath area is equipped with a/c and a lockable door. The beds and pillows are very comfortable and a mosquito net covers the frame giving a sense of privacy as well as looking beautiful. The shower is large and luxurious with tiled floor and a rain shower head. Styling through the resort is modern and clean. We rented a 4x4 directly at the resort which was easier than dealing with the hassle at the airport. They have several car options available and our Toyota Hilux was the perfect ride to explore the island (I do recommend getting the 4x4 if you want to see the majority of the island). The owner and staff are super friendly and helpful. I could not have been happier with our time here and hope to visit again!
