This little resort must have been a real gem in its hay day, and management has done what it can to keep it in good shape. Reception was friendly and check-in was simple and straight forward. I asked for a twin bedded room and they swiftly arranged it with hsekeeping. Welcome drinks provided at reception and a cold towel. We were then escorted to our rooms. The Elements has two pools, a smaller one servicing its premier rooms and a larger one for the rest of the Superior, Deluxe and Suite rooms in the twin main blocks. One block faces the pool while another next to it faces a very clean landscaped garden, although from every room you can see both the pool and the garden. Every block consists of three floors serviced by a lift. It has a restaurant that is open until 11pm with last call for room service at 10.30pm. The spa is also available with prior reservation and looked nice and relaxing. Room was large and spacious with an equally spacious balcony, decor has wooden Thai elements, and bathroom has a nice tub, marble counter top, very clean WC, floors and shower. Our superior room had a shower curtain that was also clean and I was impressed that there was no mouldy odour coming fr the curtains as with other hotels I’ve stayed in before. Very impressed with the cleanliness of the bathroom overall, it was spotless. Toiletries given were basic - shampoo, body wash, ear buds, shower cap, soap. I had to go out to buy conditioner so that was a let down. Water pressure was excellent and hot water was available in abundance. Beds are firm but they suit me. Linen clean. Pillows probably need to be changed. Four bottles of Crystal brand drinking water is provided (just like high end hotels) so was very impressed with this. Also an in-room fruit basket on arrival. Rooms on the 3rd floor actually has distant views of the sea, so request for them if you would like to catch a peek of the sea especially at sunset. Having a fruit juicer is a nice idea at bfast. Areas of improvement: - Telephone wire in the bathroom needs to be thoroughly cleaned. It was the only disappointing feature that was not clean. - First day(Dec 5th) housekeeping did a slip-shot job, did not sweep or vacuum the room, stingy with water (only 3 bottles) and toilet tissue. Even when I approached them personally to ask they seemed like this was a problem and gave me reluctantly. The second day (Dec 6) housekeeping was done by a different lady and she was top notch! She replaced towels, bath mat and put 4 bottles of water in the room like when we checked in. - Hotel needs to replace in room slippers and not reuse them. They hv obviously been worn before and this is quite disgusting in the hygiene dept. Please throw used room slippers away, and beach slippers are so worn out. - Balcony wooden platform has no cushion like in the old photos. Hard to sit on, not comfortable without a cushion. - Bfast quality needs to improve. The spread was small and overall not as ta
