"Booked a standard graden room, turned out to be a catastrophe: fridge in the mini bar humming so loud one could barely sleep, road directly in front of the room with loud vehicles passing and uncomfortable bed) - slept less than 4hours first night. Then were given the option to move to another standard room which did not have a loud road but for whatever reason had same issue with the fridge. After complaining again were upgraded to better room which was nice (bed nevertheless not comfortable). Lost 2 out of 4 nights to terrible rooms. Overall cannot recommend hotel. If you want to stay make sure only to book higher categories - standard room is absolutely not acceptable - a shame for a supposedly 5* hotel. Other negative aspects: breakfast only okish, food and the restaurant very very mediocre at truly elevated prices & outrageous wine pricing (60€ retail wine sold for 370€..) with no decent drinkable cheaper wines On the positive sides: very nice beach, good service at the beach, nice/cool interior design."

"The hotel is ideally located right next to the port, so you can easily walk between the ferry and the hotel. The welcome was very attentive, and the meals were exquisite (both breakfast and dinner). The room is spacious, though some facing the back might be a bit exposed to street noise. The Wi-Fi is quite poor in the rooms, but otherwise, the experience is always fantastic, especially when you're on the beach on those ultra-comfortable sun loungers! Thank you, we will definitely be back for a fourth time 😊"

"We have recently had a week's holiday at this hotel it's classed as 5 star but in my opinion that's not the case there is room for improvement here. Staff levels are low and many staff are running around doing so many jobs but they tend to cope,food choice is minimal but cooked and presented very well but sometimes not the warmest. Housekeeping I found a little inconsistent and all inclusive drinks are the usual quality. The pool and pool bar is a pretty good setup for families and couples. The beach is down a steep hill and there's no facilities so you have to keep going back up to use the toilet or to get a drink however it seemed to me there's a perfectly good bar down there that they don't use to its full potential We did however have a good time here and when I encounterd a problem the hotel were fantastic in helping out. It was our first visit to kos and we enjoyed the island alot and would revisit but maybe a different area as this hotel is a little out of the way"

"A fabulous hotel, perfect for anyone looking for a relaxing holiday in a lovely setting with amazing facilities. We enjoyed a pool room that was perfect, great food and drink. Pros: - the rooms are lovely. We had a double/ twin. Comfy beds, lovely furniture, Nespresso coffee machine, fridge for drinks, amazing bathroom. - rooms with pools are 100% worth it. Ours was amazing and we couldn't have asked for a better room. - the main pool is amazing. - reception staff are always prompt and helpful. - the sea is beautiful. - staff are great; it's not too full on, just right for us! - the house wine and cocktails are delicious. - the hotel feels big but is easy to navigate and everything is close to wherever you are. - the activities put on by Rachael are great. Highly recommend the classes, pool party and aqua sessions. - food is great, lots of choice and a well set out restaurant. It's nice inside and outside. The singers/ musicians that are put on are wonderful. The staff cooking and sorting the food are lovely. - the grounds of this hotel are wonderful for an evening stroll. - location for us was perfect. It was quiet at all times. Cons: - Pool service is slow. It's almost as if the pool bar is understaffed as there was often queues and there needed to be more waiters taking drinks orders at the bar. The staff were lovely, it's more the hotel company that this falls to. At points the main restaurant seemed to suffer a little with a lack of staff too. - despite being 30, the app / online approach to all information was not great. This is clearly a company decision but menus, room info, programmes etc are all on your phone via QR codes. We wanted to spend less time on our phones so found this a bit rubbish! There's nothing wrong with room info printed with restaurant timings etc and menus on tables for cocktails and food. - Al la carte restaurant had great service and the food was nice. It just seemed the idea should be more exciting - perhaps mezze or a specific cuisine so it's more impressive and feels more special. - once you check out, the service falls away. We used a courtesy room but felt a rushed and it only had bath towels without much consideration for the basics required to get yourself ready for a flight home. Hopefully Atlantica recognise the service doesn't end at check out. - we wished the entertainment was a bit more buzzy! It's not far from Kardemena town for more of an atmosphere but not walkable. The singers/ bands were good but not set for our age so we found evenings quite dull. Despite the "luxury", people love a DJ, karaoke or a dance, something more interactive, maybe some magic for one or two nights which at least appeals to those that don't want to hear music from the 70s/80s etc. Hopefully there becomes some recognition there's a lot of 20/30 year old couples and friends that spend as much money at this hotel and would like to be entertained too. We also would have spent more money on drinks if there was mor"

"Stayed 11 nights from 17th July. We had the best time. First time self catering so experienced some great meals out in the restaurants 5 to 10 mins walk away,as is the beach which sunbeds cost 25 euros for 2 for all day. The Marianna is superb,so welcoming are the staff,anything was never too much trouble,asked for extra pillows and got straight away. The room was smaller than expected but adequate enough towels and sheets changed regularly too. Showers was good re pressure and temperature albeit a bit small of an area.maybe just have no curtain and use as wet room as there is a drain and floor was getting wet anyway. Pool area was spotless,beds new and comfy and NO the reviewer who said towels are left overnight is incorrect because pool area is gated locked at 7pm and not open until nearly 8am. There is background music but very subtle whice was nice,no tunes banging out all day long, so got a good rest poolside to read books etc, if you want more than a quiet time go club med benidorm ....this is a quiet gem of a find if thats what you need and we did and loved it.The pool and snack bar staff work tirelessly to serve gorgeous food all day and love a chat, they do appreciate it if you return your finished plates as there is usually only 2 on mainly and they work their socks off, thankyou Stella you are amazing. We met some great people staff and guests alike. We would certainly return and highly recommend."

"Blue Lagoon City Hotel is truly a gem in Kos City. Starting with the location, which is of course very convenient as it is very close to the city centre. There are many amenities next to the hotel as well as lots of dining options and mini markets. The hotel itself is new and clean, the room was simple.but equipped with all necessities to ensure a comfortable stay. But what really stood out to us is the hotel staff: everyone we came across was extremely helpful and friendly. Especially restaurant staff and Ioanna at the breakfast buffet. We strongly recommend staying at this hotel for your holiday in Kos!!!"
