When we first arrived at the hotel, the lady at reception was incredibly friendly. She checked us in and explained everything we needed to know, including writing down all the breakfast, lunch, dinner & bar opening times. I thought it important to mention this as some reviews have said they weren’t told, but we were told and given the info with our key card for the room. The hotel grounds are big but not MASSIVE which in my opinion makes it better as sometimes in massive resorts you can feel overwhelmed. We stayed in the economy room, which was one of the few rooms which hadn’t been renovated and it was still fantastic. Everything was spotless and the balcony space was massive. I would actually say it may have been better than the luxury rooms as in the evening the balcony faced the sunset and the sea. The cleaning ladies did an absolutely fabulous job, they cleaned our room thoroughly EVERY day without fail. The gardeners were in the grounds every day maintaining the plants. Which were so beautiful, and obviously very well looked after. The pool is very large, I’ve seen bigger hotels with smaller pools. I have seen some people complain about struggling to find sun loungers but to be honest I think there were plenty. Yes, most people got their sun beds early but that was because they would get them straight after breakfast (which started at 7.30). If there were no sun loungers available, there was plenty of seating near the bar which is by the pool anyway. By midday/after lunch there was often a lot of sun loungers available again as people would go out for the day. The staff were so friendly and polite. The drinks at the bar, whilst limited within all inclusive were still nice. I’ve been to other all inclusive hotels where if you didn’t tip, they would give you rubbish drinks but at this hotel, they treated everyone equally regardless of whether you tipped or not (we did tip because they were great bar staff). The food was incredible. There was a massive variety and it was always replenished and piping hot. It was a different theme every day for lunch and dinner so it didn’t not get boring. I’ve seen some people complain that the breakfast was the same every day, which is true but the breakfast offered included almost everything anyone could want. With cereals, yoghurt, fresh fruit, pastries, pancake, and cooked breakfast pieces (like mushrooms, bacon, eggs etc). There was no entertainment in the evening, but this was advertised, and if you are happy to keep yourselves entertained (like playing cards or chatting) then this isn’t an issue. They do play music though so you are not sat in silence. The hotel itself is a 25 minute walk from Kos town, which I suggest doing early-mid morning to avoid the scorching heat. There are taxi’s available for a small cost (I think around €8-€10). Myself and my husband had the most incredible holiday. We have already decided we will be returning next year!
