The second visit to this hotel for us and I have to say it was very disappointing. The hotel was very full and understaffed. The adult pool bar didn't open all week. Our room wasn't cleaned for the first three days and our patio was covered it discarded cigarette nubs until day five. The queue at the bar was a 30 minute wait in the evening. When mentioned to management was told very rudely, they didn't have the staff. Will not be returning nor booking another holiday with tui who were also very dismissive about the whole experience.

We chose Atlantica Beach Resort to host our wedding. We came with 30 guests, 25 of which stayed in the hotel. On arrival, the hotel did not disappoint. It was presented beautifully and was immaculately clean, as you would expect from a 4.5/5 star hotel. We were greeted by the lovely, friendly Marios, who checked us in and explained everything we needed to know. We was then escorted to our room and greeted by a bottle of sparkling wine, fresh strawberries, a welcome letter, a bunch of flowers and a beautiful towel and petal arrangement on the bed. After unpacking and exploring, we found our way around, although the hotel is very big and wide spread! We couldnt find a single fault and the whole place was just beautiful. The pools, although freezing cold, we're never too busy so you could always grab a sun lounger and the baby pool was shaded and just under knee deep at the deepest point. It was however very slippy on the steps to enter so pool shoes for kids are very practical. The food in the main restaurant is ok but could be better as there was a few times meat was undercooked. The greek restaurant was beautiful and very scenic. The italian restaurant was buffet style and not much different to the main restaurant. Cups that drinks were served in throughout the day really wasnt an issue for us like other reviews have mentioned and the drinks was as expected. Although there is only 1 bar open on an evening which get very busy and there is no sense of queing. Waiting 15 minutes to be served is very likely although once served theres no limit on how many drinks you can get which likely doesnt help the ques. Entertainment was okay and there was a nice mixture throughout our stay. Staff were majority friendly and welcoming although there was 1 or 2 that was quite rude and unhelpful. However, Marios in particular made up for those that lacked as he never failed to meet our needs with a smile and open arms. He couldnt have done any more for us to make our stay and our wedding any more perfect, but he was certainly willing to try! Without him, the experience would have been alot more stressful and negative. Our wedding day its self went down brilliantly and all the staff worked super hard to meet our requests. For future brides and grooms I would advise double if not triple checking the bill afterwards however, as our bill added on a few extra charges that were incorrect including a £1300 buffet that we did not have! after a lot of stress and 2 more days, this was eventually corrected. I would also advise that the hotel can only accept a maximum of £500 per day cash so your wedding will need to be paid for on card (this was news to us when we came to pay the bill, despite asking via email months in advance.) We was also unaware that after the wedding, our birth certificates are kept in the town hall as proof of marriage so we now have to replace these as we was not made aware this happens. I was quite disappointed overall with this hotel as I found it lacking in many of the amenities that should be standard at this price level. First of all, the rooms are incredibly basic. Not terrible, just basic. There is no minibar, just an empty fridge, and not even a coffee machine. The beds are fine, nothing special but the room is very small and has no amenities. There was a room safe but it didn't work and there was a surprising lack of clean towels. Cleaning would regularly take away the dirty towels and not replace them with clean ones, very strange. The worst thing is there wasn't any room service, which is absolutely unheard of for a 5 star hotel. I couldn't believe it. I similarly found the rest of the hotel grounds to be very basic. Only two pools, and only one a la carte restaurant that is extremely pretentious and over-priced. If you have all-inclusive you are allowed to dine there only once, and it's not really worth it. There is no pool-side drink service and in general service around the hotel is extremely limited as they seem to only hire a minimum amount of staff so everyone who works here is too busy. When I arrived, I was very surprised to find only one person working behind the desk. There were several groups waiting to check in and each one took 8-10 minutes. Normally at an upscale resort like this you are greeted when you enter and welcomed with a drink and maybe a snack, allowing you to get comfortable while you wait to check in, but nobody greeted me and I just stood in the lobby for about 45 minutes waiting to check in. Again with only one person working behind the desk, I found it absolutely ridiculous. The last thing you want to do after 20+ hours of travel is to stand in a lobby for an eternity waiting for check in, so this soured me on the hotel immediately. In the evenings, there is only one place to hang out, and it is the main lobby bar/patio area. It is incredibly crowded every night and again they don't have enough staff working so there are very long lines and long waits to get a drink. The entertainment is cheesy and obnoxious and there is nowhere to go if you just want to have a drink in peace and quiet. This hotel also allows children in all locations so there are always a dozen screaming kids running around. If sitting in a loud and crowded bar with kids running around screaming and yelling and trying desperately to order a drink from one of the two workers who are trying to serve 100+ people sounds like your idea of a dream vacation, this hotel is for you. I don't mind that kids are allowed in the hotel but there needs to be at least an adults-only section during the evening. At one point a 7 year old girl actually climbed up onto the barstool next to me at the bar and I thought, what am I doing here, this is ridiculous. There is no gym onsite and if you ask about it, they'll tell you that there is one at "the residences" which is this weird special area that is technically part of the hot
