Mitsis Family Village

We arrived at the Hotel and were greeted by reception who were extremely friendly . As we arrived in the evening they showed us where to leave our bags and we headed straight to dinner . The food was good , grilled meat , fish , salads etc and of course chips and burgers for the fussy eaters we had . We found there was always something for everyone to eat and it was Tasty . The restaurant staff work so hard to clear tables , get you drinks and are also super friendly . We were there then taken to our room in a little van … thankfully as it was at the top of a killer hill and raining . The rooms are big and spacious and clean , cleaned everyday and there is a mini bar restocked every second day .They are a bit dated but didn’t bother us as the room was only for sleeping . Pool was salt water but Freezing !!! however being from england we still jumped in and as the weather improved it was fine . The cocktails here are amazing !!!! no pre mixed , served in glass at night and tasted so nice … table services is also provided . and The bar team are also amazing ! Elona i think her name was is a credit to the hotel .. nothing is ever too much trouble and she was always smiling and so happy . Also Thannasis the bar/ waiter was so friendly and never left us with empty glasses ! He is also a credit to the hotel . Night time entertainment was a bit hit and miss … although the fire dancers were great and the 3 opera singers were fab . My son spent his whole holiday eating the crepes at the pastry corner … so thanks to the man and lady working on there . There wasn’t much going on during the day but it was very early season so i’m sure this will change . But we did join in with water polo and aqua fit ! There is a little shuttle buggy you can get to the beach and back ( the walk up is a struggle) food on the beach is also lovely and there are free sunbeds! we used the bus service to get onto Kos town and use the sister hotel which was only €3 . The only negatives we have . we were expecting to pay €10 per room per day tourist tax as the hotel is a 4* but you are infact charged a €15 per room per day as you can use the water slides in the other hotel , a gym and the sister hotel . We didn’t have a problem with this as we did use the facility’s but it would be nice if people knew before they arrived , and it would also take the pressure off reception having to explain why , as there were lots of unhappy people with regards to the hotel tax being €15 and not €10 Overall i’d like to say thank you to every member of staff for going above and beyond and making our holiday fabulous! We will 100% be back ❤️

We have been here since Sunday 22 June. We upgraded to a swim up room. The room is dated but everything works. The air con is good, as is the shower pressure. The food is hit and miss on some days. The swim up pool is without steps from our room, so we have to walk round to get in and out. The fridge is restocked every other day with soft drinks and 1 large bottle of water for 3 of us which was not enough. We spoke to management, and they agreed to increase the water to 2 and agreed to give us a box of milk every day for my granddaughter who doesn't eat very well. One of the beds had a very poor mattress but after speaking to management this was changed to a more comfortable one, which I was grateful for. I have learnt from the management that problems you have can be resolved if you speak to them about it. Now that our problems have been resolved we are much happier with this hotel. It has made our holiday much better. So thank uou to the management.
