Lango Design Hotel & Spa, Adults Only

We were expecting this to be a quiet, calm hotel experience but it turned out to be just the opposite. The isolation in the rooms are just horrendous. When the room above you uses shower or the toilet you hear it all. Man, you can even hear them walking. I mean it was ridicilously bad and when you contact the reception, they rudely say that its normal to have neighbours in hotels. You tell them that you are not able to sleep and okay to get downgraded, all you wanted is to sleep and all they could say is sorry, hotel is fully booked. The non existant isolation and attitude from some of the receptionists turned our experience in to a nightmare. Will never visit this place again.

Open space hotel with very little privacy if you stay at the pool view room ( mostly are). There are no bath tab in the room. Trip has wrongly advertised

We have returned to the Lango for a few years now. The standards maintained by Hotel Manager Christina, are evident in all her staff and the efficiency in which the hotel is run. From check in, to breakfast, to check out. All staff are efficient and friendly and do their very best. I have to mention Epistimi who is brilliant and is extremely good at what she does. Attentive yet extremely professional. A genuine diamond, if not, a real reason to return in itself! The rooms are great! The beds comfy and we always had a little snack and waters topped up. We had room 403 which had a private pool. Always welcoming and thoroughly the best. I travel a lot through the year, throughout the world, and always look forward to staying at the Lango! As good as luxury boutique hotels get!

I will start at the beginning, we arrived very late to the hotel about half midnight, we were welcomed by the night staff who took our passports and details quickly and showed us to our rooms. He explained that breakfast was from half seven till ten. When we got in our room there was a sandwich and a refreshing drink for us, a hand written welcome note from the manager of the hotel. In the morning we went down for breakfast there is plenty to choose from, from a cooked breakfast, plenty of fruit and cakes, they will make smoothies and coffee and there is the continental breakfast with fresh meats and cheese and salad and tea is constantly being offered, and if you require something else you can ask the staff they will try to accommodate you, very morning I asked for porridge specially made for me because I need lactose free milk, I only ordered once and very morning it was made for me, a nice touch. The staff are working so hard to keep everyone happy and enjoying their holiday, so please be polite and respectful, some are working more than one job, and long hours. In your room there is everything you need coffee machine which is lovely, tea and instant coffee, bottles of water are put in your room twice a day, there is a fridge and safe deposit box for you to use. In the shower there is shampoo and conditioner, body soap and moisturising lotion so no need to bring your own, I used theirs for the whole holiday very nice to use, and a hairdryer. Towels for the bathroom are changed very day and you have beach towels too, if you need clean ones take your beach towels to the reception and they will give you clean ones. The pool is very clean and very cold, but remember that there is a second pool in the spa you can use for free which is heated, the sauna and steam room are charge able, but the pool is very pleasant I would recommend you use it, the spa treatments are good I had a back massage and scalp treatment, the service was excellent. There are plenty of sun beds are they don’t like you putting your towels out and leaving them, but you don’t need to we don’t have any problems getting a sun bed. If you like the beach it’s right in front of the hotel with waiter service at a press of a button on you sun umbrella, again water is given to you down there too. By the pool you have a bar, cocktails are nice about €14 each so is the wine €9 a glass. The service is god someone is there all day. Each day there is a free shot or ice cream from the staff. The restaurant in the evening is a bit more expensive then if you go into Kos, which is about a 40 minute walk make sure you have comfortable shoes on, my blisters are sore, we have been here for ten days and have walked every night, definitely walk up and appetite and you will get your steps in for the day. The town of Kos is nice if you want a sea view dinner go to the harbour turn left and follow the road round all the restaurants offer sea side tables, in the old town plenty of restaurants to choose f

Sayings like "fits like a glove" or "as comfy as a pair of slippers" really are appropriate where the Lango design and spa are concerned, to my wife and I it was just perfect. From the moment we walked through the automatic doors to the moment we waved goodbye our stay was faultless. service was above excellent, it was exceptional, food was impressive with lots of choice, rooms were beautiful & well equipped. without doubt the hotel, its grounds and the beach were the cleanest of any hotel we have ever stayed in, spotless. We loved the small size of the hotel, as I said at the beginning of this review, it was like a pair of comfy slippers. Would we stay there again, absolutely Yes! Cant wait! Thank you Lango from the bottom of our hearts, you were amazing!

From the start of our stay, we truly had a 5-star experience. From the food to the staff, everything here at this hotel was amazing. The hotel is situated away from the main town of Kos which for us was lovely as the beach / hotel was quiet and you are away from all the noise. However, to get to Kos town you will either have to walk (30-40 minutes) or take the bus (it is right outside the hotel and its €1.50 one way). You can also take a taxi but as we enjoyed the walk, we ended up walking most nights. The restaurant here is amazing, verging on Michelin star. Would definitely recommend trying the brunch menu! The breakfast buffet was stocked very well, with lots of variety for everyone. The gym is somewhat well-equipped, not for your avid gym goes but equipped enough to have a good workout. There is a proper gym a 10-15 minute walk away if you really needed one but the one at the hotel does the job. The staff restock water, Powerade and towels everyday in the gym fridge so you can enjoy your workout. The spa was amazing, We booked a 75-minute Candlelight massage (definitely try it) and it was very relaxing, the staff in the spa are respectful and kind. The spa facilities are well equipped with a sauna, steam room and spa pool. The stars of the show and what makes this hotel so worth is the attentiveness and kindness of the staff. They truly look after you and try make your stay as pleasant and easy as possible. They give lots of recommendations (what restaurants to eat at in town and places to see) and provide lots of helpful information. We enquired on how to travel to Zia at the reception with a lovely lady and she gave us a bus timetable and when we came back in the evening we were greeted by another receptionist asking how our trip to Zia was. It took us by surprise as we had not encountered the second receptionist earlier. This truly showed us the attentiveness of the staff and how they go out of their way to make you feel so welcome. If we could rate this hotel higher than 5 stars we would. Thank you for having us and we will be back next year.

This is a very good hotel. Rooms are excellent as well as the pool area where there is more than enough beds for the size of hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful especially the ones that bring drinks to the pool and beach across the road. Improvements can be made in a couple of areas, the breakfast although good was not quite to the level of some other hotels we have stayed in. Also Kos town is a little too far away. The walk would usually be ok for us but as temperatures were pushing 40’C it was too hot to walk every day. I am fit and usually walk around a lot on holiday but this was a struggle. Taxis are an issue as there are only about 70 on the island so the hotel can get you one to go into town but can’t get you one to bring you back. One couple had to wait over an hour for a taxi one night. There are plenty of bus stops and people standing at them but I didn’t see a bus all week. The hotel could benefit from a shuttle bus into town a few times a day especially during hotter months. Finally if you do walk be prepared to avoid cyclists as the pavements are set up for bikes more than pedestrians. If the hotel was closer to town or had a shuttle bus I would have scored it 5*s.

Just back from a perfect week in this incredible hotel. From late night arrival where we found complimentary sandwiches awaiting us to a parting gift of local products, we feel.conpleyely spoiled. The rooms are immaculate and the cleaning of a very high standard. Bottled water is replenished in your room twice a day, along with an afternoon snack. The breakfast choices are vast and the service in all eating areas is exemplary. We loved the pool area, which is kept so well, and the abundance of sun loungers, without any stress of finding one, was refreshing. The pool staff were brilliant and the bar food fabulous. Try the tuna poke bowl! We ate in the restaurant a couple of times and were so well looked after by Panos and his team. The food and wine were brilliant, and some tasteful live music on Sunday and Wednesday really enjoyable. Dessy looked after us really well in the bar and helped us learn a few Greek words - locals do appreciate you trying! While the town centre is definitely walkable, the heat might make it uncomfortable! The hotel arranged bikes for us - a car collected us, took us to the rental place and 5 minutes later we were ready to go. At €17 for 3 days it was completely worth it. The bikes come with built-in locks so you can literally park up anywhere. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Lango to anyone, there's just nothing to fault. Don't hesitate to go, just book, you won't regret it.

My fiancée and I stayed at Lango hotel from July 5th to July 11th and had a truly fantastic stay. So much so that we initially booked 5 nights but extended our stay by one night due to how impressed we were with the hotel and the staff/service. The hotel itself is impeccable and incredibly clean throughout. It is located in a lovely quiet area not too far from Kos town. Across the road from the hotel is a nice beach with plenty of sunbeds for guests of the hotel, you can also order food and drink to be taken across to you on the beach There were a number of little things that the hotel does that really caught our attention and impressed us. For example, we arrived close to midnight and when we got to our room there was a sandwich waiting for us with a juice which was so very much appreciated considering we had been travelling for a number of hours. There were also the daily snacks delivered to our room every evening which was a lovely touch. Now to the staff and service… truly incredible and people we will not forget in a rush. The staff were amazing and so helpful throughout our whole stay. A huge thanks to all the staff at Lango for looking after us so well during our stay with a special shout out to Catherine, Zinet, Kledi, Katerina and Panos, we loved meeting you all and look forward to hopefully seeing you again in the not to distant future. For anyone reading this review and thinking of booking this hotel, I would highly recommend
