Mythos Suites Hotel

Stayed 5 nights greeted by Marie on reception we were early but got out room had a view of the beach first floor .rooms are spacious clean sitting area fridge freezer microwave if want it modern bathroom room has good plug points cleaned everyday good air con no lift if your higher up pool area is small I think getting sunbeds seemed ok no big rush bar area by the pool .breakfast was nice lots of choice Niki would look after us save us a table has a restaurant out in the front which we went to nice food in all I would stay here again if I can back to this resort lots of bars restaurants beach couple mins away good location for everybody

We reserved a suite for 5 nights back in 2024, yet it appears we were assigned one of the least desirable rooms. Our first night there was hardly any hot water or water pressure to shower. This was a huge disappointment considering how far in advanced we booked and we had been traveling for over 24 hours and really needed a hot shower to recover. This shower concern was corrected and we were moved to another room on our third day. Overall, we liked the place and enjoyed our stay. Would recommend to others with a caveat to confirm reservations before arrival. Pros: Rooms were very clean. Included daily breakfast was good. Front desk is very helpful with all kinds of information. The hotel restaurant has great food. Pool and pool area are clean. Rooms have strong air conditioning systems. Rooms each have lots of space for unpacking. Cons: The parking lot road and lot are unpaved and so driving or walking kicks up rocks and dirt. Have to rinse off feet. Beach/pool towels are not offered so bring or buy your own. The beach is 1 block away and you must pay a restaurant or other business to get a lounge chair. Dead water bugs roaches were visible daily outside of our room. (Thankfully dead!)

This holiday from start to finish has been amazing, you certainly won’t be disappointed with Mythos Suites. Over the course of 2w we had 1 minor issue which was rectified within 24 hours, and that was that the hotel booking system needs looking into, as we had booked a 2 bedroom apartment but was given a 1 bedroom apartment with sofa bed. We were promptly switched rooms the morning after by the very apologetic Maria on reception and everything went so well for the remainder of the holiday, but other holidaymakers were experiencing the same issue and even having to stay elsewhere upon arrival until the situation was rectified, but to us, this was only minor. Once we were switched, the cleanliness, rooms, staff and mood in camp were all exemplary. Restaurants wise, there are a number of amazing eateries, these being the hotel owned one where you have your breakfast (Visalis) who make amazing pasta, but our best was ‘Plori’ around 250m away on the beachfront, incredible seafood and the most amazing stuffed peppers to start. Across the road for those with a sweet tooth, also provide incredible waffles/crepes with a range of delightful toppings. Things to do whilst there are to definitely hire a car (Safari Car Hire through reception) to see the other side of the island (Kefalos 30km max away), Paradise beach which was literally amazing, Plaka Forest to see the peacocks in their native habitat and then when night falls, take a trip up Zia to see the amazing sunset and have a nice meal in a Greek Taverna. We also took the local bus to Kos Town for a day and change of scenery, superb value with kids free and plenty to do down there also, again this being 20 minutes away. Other than that, we rarely used the supermarket attached due to high prices, so tended to visit the supermarket at Oneiro (100m up the road) which was far more reasonably priced, and if you walked a bit further you will find the fresh bakery that sells fresh pastries, donuts, biscuits and many other sweet treats, another plus. To summarise, Tigaki is a small village, with vibrant atmosphere but was perfect with us with a 4 year old and expecting a second child, but could be too quiet if you’re wanting evening entertainment or more to do. Kos as a whole, we believe we have seen it now, so unsure on a return but this was definitely an enjoyable 5/5 holiday!!!
