NOT Recommended. NOT, NOT, NOT. Our ‘suite’ at The Bennet Bay Inn was unclean, uncomfortable and unsafe. Hair and small black things on the sheets, filthy carpet, LOUD fan and LOUDER AC, bed and loveseat profoundly old, worn, uncomfortable and dirty, loud neighbors yelling profanities, uneven and sinking floor, open gaps at electric outlets, no privacy curtain on one set of windows, cold-non working hot tub, outside walls with gaping holes, hanging electrical wires. This place was gross and dangerous. We may have gotten what we paid for when looking to go “cheaper” but $153 was not cheap. Lovely view and nice check in were the only positives.

The owners son is a horrible person who beat up my grand uncle with a baseball bat after telling him not to touch his car when he was getting his intoxicated wife out of the car to help her to their room. He had to go into surgery for the to fix his jaw and has to have screws to help it.

4 out of 5 for this quaint little Inn with beautiful lake views. The owners were amazing people who make you feel at home. The place is the e second oldest hotel in Coeur d’Alene and it shows. But the place is clean and the views are spectacular. You have a private room that feels like you have your own backyard. We were able to meet other travelers staying there and had a couple backyard drinks together. Not many places you get that

We came for the weekend to celebrate my birthday. Please don’t let the bad reviews keep you from checking this gem out. Full disclosure the reviews almost had us trying to find somewhere else to stay but I’m so glad we decided to give it a go. Yes it’s rustic and the rooms are dated (to be expected being the second oldest motel in Couer D’Alene) , however, the rooms are clean and quiet. Probably one of the only places I’ve stayed where I didn’t have a hard time falling asleep. The views are amazing and the couple who runs it are beautiful people. So friendly and accommodating. I’m fairly picky about where I’m staying and I would stay here 1000 times again. Private with a beautiful green space behind the rooms. There’s a fire pit, a waterfall feature, and a picnic table. We didn’t use the pool because we were out and about but it looks lovely. It’s about 10 minutes to town which was perfect for us. And pet friendly!

Disturbing! This place needs to be torn down! Safety violations abound! Everything you can possibly think of is wrong with this place! The only thing positive I can say is that it didn't smell bad. I found that amazing in itself!! Even the bed had a sag in the middle and the pillows were flat as a pancake! Don't do it!!

Very old and terrible rooms. Crooked floors, peeling wall paper, cracked floors, AC made a loud terrible sound. They only thing nice about the place was the the people working there. They were very friendly and polite.

Most disgusting place I have ever stayed. Never again. DO NOT STAY THERE. Pool was ice cold, couldn't use it. Jacuzzi had stuff floating in it, couldn't use it. Room was discustiñg. Slept on top of covers.

Run, don't walk from this place. Read the reviews and move on. They ought to call this the Red Flag Inn as there were so many, starting with the parking lot and the red pickup truck with two flat tires. Our room was not clean: carpet, doors, bathroom were not clean. We were not advised that an inoperable hot tub was in our room. The AC wouldn't turn off, the room had an offensive odor, the TV didn't work. Outside, the facility's deferred maintenance was appalling. We left before dark and found a better place in CDA. On the plus side, the Bennet Bay Inn is now our standing joke for a hovel. Look up that word. Frankly, sleeping in your car would be an upgrade to the Bennet Bay Inn.

Shockingly disgusting, unsafe, smelly, poor plumbing... Health inspector and building inspector need to shut this place down immediately. The floors are uneven outside, the air conditioners are noisy and smell bad. The bathroom smelled of mildew, the door barely locked and was two inches off the floor so the bugs got in. STAY AWAY!
