Silver Bay Hotel

I had a terrible experience here at the hotel. I get to the hotel and it says it's 'closed' but there's only 5 other rooms out of 40-50?. So there's no bar, or food service at all. I had to be driven to their partner hotel 1km out to get breakfast which was included in my package and that was average at best. Then had to wait another half an hour after breakfast to be picked up (even if it was a 3 minute drive back) and the driver saw us and decided to go somewhere else into the hotel? In the room I had, the telephone didn't work so I had to come up and down to ask for basic things. In the morning, my power was cut off because they were having issues with the power. Another guest said that their power and water was cut off the day before and I was given no notice or information about this. In general, the exterior could've been maintained better and the pool was filthy and not maintained. They said they were opening the day after I left but by the looks of it, nothing was prepared for this in the first place! I don't understand why they would be accepting guests when they are 'closed'! I was told by another guest who spoke Greek that apparently on the system they have, they can't see the guests and all unless they have over 25 bookings?! I do believe if they were open it would've been a different experience. However this really impacted my trip and first impressions. Luckily I was only there for a night compared to other people who were there for a few days and had to suffer here. I don't expect it to look exactly like the pictures however, I did expect to have all the facilities that was included! In the photos you can see what I was supposed to receive e.g. bar and food but the food area was closed off! Nothing was communicated in advance properly. Very disappointed with this and if they sort themselves out, I think this would've been a better experience.

The stay here was a bit better. The beds were comfier. However, the shower was always leaking. I'm guessing nobody noticed it. It was very inconvenient, since there was always a big wet puddle in the room. But otherwise it was fine. The pool was also nice. And again, the hospitality of Mr. Pantelis was admirable. It made the whole stay better. He's an amazing person.

I am very pleased with the whole experience. The place is just in the right place. Not to close to the loud city nights, but yet not so far. Beautiful swimming pool, good bar, excellent food, affordable price, and very very professional staff. I strongly recommend Silver Bay. Five stars for sure.

The food is great, the staff is excellent, all praise for the hotel, they have a beautiful pool, every recommendation, they have a great pool bar, the rooms are great, the beach is close, pool is clear

I was really surprised with the reviews and to be honest hesitating to stay there but it turned out to be a great place to stay. Nice people working there , quiet place, comfortable rooms. Definitely go back again.

Unfortunately I cannot recommend this hotel at all. The service was absolutely terrible. When we arrived, we had to wait for 2,5h to check in, so we waited by the pool. When we could check in, the rooms were not cleaned, we were approx. 7 couples that had arrived at the same time and none of our rooms were clean at check in. So we had to wait for another 1,5h, and weren't even offered something to drink in the meantime, I had to ask for it. More people came down from there rooms to complain about the cleaning. When we finally got to our room, it was ok cleaning wise, but it was very moldy in the bathroom, the show curtain had mold and was absolutely disgusting. They had painted over mold on the walls and ceilings, the lamp in the bathroom was blinking all the time when turned on, the shower was leaking every time we took a shower so it was soaking wet on the floor. They were suppose to clean 5 days/week, but only cleaned properly 1 day. The rest of the days they just folded sheets. The towels were not changed, we had to ask for new ones, we also got one pillow that was rock hard so we had to change that one too. Overall, really bad service and I don't recommend anyone that want to have a nice hotel stay to live at this hotel. The staff was giggling behind their face masks when people complained about the cleaning at check in. No one even apologized for the late check in and bad cleaning.
