Set at the edge of a pristine forest and boasting panoramic views of the Indian Ocean, The Manta Resort is located along the beachfront on Pemba Island. Surrounded by lush vegetation, unspoilt coral reefs, this tranquil and exclusive resort features a spa and wellness centre, restaurant and sun terrace.
The accommodation ranges from makuti thatched Standard Garden Rooms, spacious seafront villas with a secluded sun terrace to a private floating island with underwater bedroom.
Most meals are served on the verandah overlooking the Indian Ocean. The cuisine consists of seafood, local and vegetarian dishes. Cocktails and drinks can be enjoyed at the bar.
At The Manta Resort you will find a private beach area and an outdoor pool. An array of activities can be enjoyed on site or in the surroundings, including diving, hiking and canoeing.
The resort can help you organise scheduled charter flights to Pemba Island. The resort is 32 km from Pemba Airport in Chake-Chake.

Cuando llegamos al hotel vimos al momento que era un lugar único. Nunca pudimos imaginar una playa tan increíble, con una arena como harina, un agua de azules que no se pueden borrar de la retina. Para nosotros ha sido un paraíso, cuidados en todo momento por unos empleados súper amables, atentos - mención especial a Saidi, que cuidó de nosotros durante toda la estancia y nos lo guardamos en el corazón.- Cada día disfrutábamos de un tratamiento wellness, a manos de unas mujeres maravillosas. Desde luego es el mejor lugar para desconectar, relajarse, disfrutar del mar, de experiencias ligadas a la vida marina… Nunca lo olvidaremos, fuimos muy muy felices allí. Nuestro deseo, volver a ese paraíso

Un sitio increible con un ambiente familar, exclusivo y con un trato personalizado e inmejorable por parte de todo su personal. Nuestra habitacion tenia vistas al mar, piscina privada y una decoración preciosa donde no falto detalle y a tres pasos de la playa. La comida fue espectacular y muy variada, pescados, carnes, mariscos, verduras...la disfrutamos muchisimo. Mi mujer era celiaca y pensamos al llegar que podiamos tener algun problema, pero todos los platos fueron adaptados para ella, incluso le hicieron pan sin gluten que estaba buenisimo. Ofrecen diversas actividades: snorkel, visitas al bosque, a playas, atardecer en Catamaran... Durante toda nuestra estancia Saidi se encargo de que no nos faltará nada, organizó todas nuestras actividades para los 5 dias de estancia, se encargo de adaptar todos los menus para que fueran sin gluten. Su trato con nosotros fue inmejorable, educado, simpático y super atento en todo momento a nuestras necesidades.

This place is absolutely fantastic I couldn’t recommend it any more.. if you’re thinking about going.. book it! The staff are incredible kind and look after you so well everyone you pass will give you a warm “Jambo”. Really tasty food and the fresh fish is great. We went on a sunset cruise and sand bank excursion both I’d recommend. The members of staff should be proud of the environment they have created at Manta Resort!

This place is true eco & ethical paradise. Nestled behind a private white sandy beach and Marine Protected Area of the Indian Ocean. The location, resort, staff, food, and diving was incredible. Worth the long trip to get here!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, our trip to Manta resort started off a little iffy. We had travelled 12 hours without eating and arrived hangry and frustrated. We had some issues with our room, however, after bringing it to management's attention, they went above and beyond to meet our expectations. All staff were so polite, funny, and accommodating. The food was great and the drinks delicious. We got there early in the season, so the weather was windy and sometimes rainy. We were still able to scuba dive 3 times, which was lovely. The dive staff was fantastic, including Tayla who is the dive master/instructor. Shout out to Lucas, our "waiter" extraordinaire. He was wonderful! Overall great experience.

Such a beautiful and relaxing resort with the most caring and friendly staff. Every single employee from Hamisi in the dining area to Taylor and Mandela and the dive team were incredibly helpful and they spoiled us the whole time we were there. The diving is beautiful with very good visibility just 5-10 minutes from the resort. We saw lots of beautiful fish and corals as well as moray eels and octopus. Our bungalow was as so beautiful and comfortable with a private plunge pool. It’s a little effort to get to the resort with a 90 minute drive from the Pemba airport but so worth it once you get there! Every meal was delicious and beautifully presented. I recommend the fresh fish every time it is offered. Daily included massage is terrific. I would stay at least 5 nights at the Manta Resort.

Everything was just amazing. So nice place, so nice people, want to go back now! We have stayed in many great places across the globe and Nanta Resort is no doubt top 3. Lunch at sandbank, snorkling at housereef, all good food, staff, dinner at beach, monkeys in trees, supernice room etc etc. Lovey stay!

We had the most amazing 3 days and 2 nights at the manta hotel. When we arrived Juma the hotel manager was so kind and welcoming. We felt like we were old friends. Our butler/waiter was Said. He was the most kind, welcoming and caring person I have ever met. No request was too much for him. He went above and beyond every minute. He even arranged a lunch and dinner on the beach! In addition, the dive center is AMAZING! I went on a morning 2 tank dive and it was seriously some of the best diving I have ever experienced. Mandela was a great dive buddy! He made me feel so safe and even pointed out great fish that I would have surely missed! Thank you again Juma, Said and Mandela! You gave us a vacation that we’ will never forget and we will certainly be back!!!
