Lake N River Resort Munroe Island

We recently visited as a group of 19 members for a farewell party, and it was a great experience. The lake and river view was beautiful, and we enjoyed a lot. The hosts were very welcoming and managed everything wonderfully. We had a great time with the boating and kayaking. The ambience was very calm, and the property was well maintained with a spacious banquet hall. They provided music, microphones, and well-arranged chairs, which made the event even more comfortable. Everything was well-organized, although we expected a bit more variety and quality in the food. Apart from that, everything was very fine, and the staff was extremely helpful. I especially want to mention Manager Himani Madam — thank you so much for making our experience so smooth and enjoyable. It was truly a memorable time with all of you.

We - a group of five family members - came to stay at Lake n River resort, Munroe island. Both the island as well as the resort were completely unknown to us. We came without any expectation, but returned delighted with the experience we got here. The resort is so remotely and beautifully set up right on the lake. The rooms were very clean. The service by each and every staff member was courteous and friendly. The food items prepared by the chefs, Prakash Joshi and Johnson were wonderful - a lunch, dinner and the breakfast next morning - they took care to prepare the dishes specially well for each customer. The two boys - Josel and Vishnu took our menu orders and were wonderful! We were overall very impressed with the service provided by these people. We would certainly try visiting the place again.

Worst experience on my stay in Lake N River resort with my family(2 adults and 2 kids) Anyone planning for quality/nice food during your stay on this resort, pls totally avoid this resort, bcoz the food on this resort is horrible. They provide only previous day food. In my experience i usually adjust the food on any trip, but this resort food is horrible(cant even eat veg food). 1 fine example they will charge you even for pickle(INR 30)/Pappad(INR 50)/Curd(50)/Rasam(INR 125). They mention its buffet, but they wont provide buffet and they ask for you to select even if its included on your plan. In short, check out the below points. 1) No buffet if you visit on weekdays and very less option for food menu. 2) If you book for n number of days, they will not clean your room until you check out after 1st day. Usually on daily basis room clean should happen, and they charge water bottles for more than 1 day, 3)Front end room was stinks always. 4) Even your room also stinks in next day as they are not cleaning on daily basis. Finally attaching the food bill copy herewith. Just understand their money minded mentality. Seems its a trap. Think twice(even more than thrice to visit this resort on weekends).

Staf and service were very good, friendly and professional Very good chef in the kitchen, delicious food, try the Chemballi They also provide boating; we did the laketour with a shikara at sunrise and the canaltour by canoue at sunset Ann, Raf from Belgium

Fantastic location on the edge of Kallada river and Lake Ashtamudi facing the huge expanse of water right from the lawns and resort balcony. Rooms are basic but Munroe is really untouched, unexplored so it's among the best places there. Canoeing in the river and canals and Shikara ride truly memorable experience. Food and service were very good, especially Divya and Raji took good care of us. Overall a good couple of days spent with nature.

Very well placed in the Backwaters of Kerala and with friendly and smiling staff. Good breakfast, too. All people very extremely helpful and friendly. Outside for breakfast or dinner. Well place for relaxing!
