New Hut Bungalow

The staff are amazing cannot do enough for you Drinks and food were authentic and delicious Didn't actually stay in a hut but they are right on the beach with full facilities Huts look incredibly clean and comfortable Music is amazing and not loud

The location is beautiful right on the beach and very budget friendly. We had the AC bungalow 9 for two nights and it is very very basic but a very nice experience waking up so close to the beach. We loved watching the huge monitor lizards in the river. The food was decent- our favourite being the green curry and the tom kha soup. Those dishes are very good. The view from the restaurant is gorgeous and the atmosphere is laid back. The staff were friendly at first and some smiles and hello here and there during our stay but the general vibe really threw us off. We felt like we were an annoyance by being there. We had met so many really friendly people during our travels that I think it just felt very different. Nobody was overtly rude, maybe just indifferent is the way to describe it. I said goodbye and thank you as we were leaving and nobody responded. I understand they have probably had to deal with a lot of annoying and overprivileged people over the years. After being to so many places in Thailand (we stayed 8 different accommodations) it was really weird to feel that way. We felt nervous to ask but they were very nice in allowing us to leave our bags for a few hours after check out as we went out before our flight. There are also a lot of small businesses around that area if you want to support smaller family run shops rather than just big restaurants and resorts which is nice. It’s a great area to spend your money as a tourist and support local people. I recommend this place for someone that does not need anything too fancy and isn’t phased by maybe just not the most overly friendly staff.

We stayed here for 2 nights and had the “garden view” bungalow. This was fine, it was not directly on the beach it was set back but this was fine. The hut itself had 2 single beds, both of which were comfortable and a thin blanket. There was a fan in the room which was quiet and rotated. The communal toilets were right next to our room and had a strong sewer smell which you couldn’t ignore. The rooms got extremely hot and the fan was not sufficient enough to keep two people cool even when on rotate. The rooms were also near the bar so when they had music at night time you could hear the music from the rooms. The bathrooms were cleaned daily but only with a quick wipe and sweep, there was sand in the showers which never got cleaned the whole time we were there it was just left in piles. The hotel staff did not appear interested with customers and some appeared moody which is why they have been knocked down on stars. The beach is dirty full of rubbish and black moss, after watching staff “clean” this they left a lot of the dirt around the front of the restaurant which was a shame and would be off putting to new customers like it was for us. The better beaches are around 20 minute walk. The area itself is around 15 minutes walk to a local market. When asking for prices for boats the hotel were charging more than the surrounding shops. The positive is there is free hot water to make hot drinks in the bar and price for the huts is cheaper than other places in the area.

J’Adore cet endroit que je connais bien 👍🏼 a chacun de mes passages , je ne manque pas d’y passer . Les plats sont excellents et les prix vraiment pas chers! La Deco de ce restaurant est top ! On est directement au bord de mer . On peut aussi louer un petit bungalow sur la plage ( tarif : 300 bath la nuit soit 8€) les bungalows sont simple , juste un lit , pas de Clim , et très prisés par les jeunes car vraiment pas cher pour dormir sur la plage. Je vous conseille vivement de vous y arrêter , pour venir prendre un verre ou venir manger . Tout est délicieux !

L'accueil est chaleureux et très compétent les bungalows très sympathique l'endroit est très beaux et très bien entretenu et en plus. On mange très bien une semaine de bonheur et merci à mama et son equipe
