Mook Lamai Resort and Spa

Stayed in swim access room for 4 nights. Lovely stay in beautiful surroundings. Friendly family with good service. Breakfast included and although good, would have enjoyed more Thai options. Nice pizza from restaurant on site too. Added bonus of ‘free’ tuk tuk ride until 6pm to anywhere on island. Free pick up and delivery back to port. Lovely super clean pool area, pool towels included and pool access is 24hrs! Room decent size with lots of thought gone into position of plugs etc with nice view over pool.

5/5 stars to this hotel. Staff was so friendly and helpful. Only minus for the straydogs howling in the middle of the night by the pool. We really enjoyed our 4 night stay in here. Book a pool access room, it is the best. Free taxirides from the hotel anywhere on the island was a nice plus.

Amazing service and too notch food The staff here are amazing. They are super friendly and gave us a hug as we left as we loved them so much! The food is Thai and one of the tastier on the trip. Breakfast is simple but served with love and great coffee. This is a must stop on your trip

Fantastic resort with exceptional service. It isn't uncommon to find lovely people and great service in Thailand but the team in this hotel are on another level. Every aspect of the hotel is so well managed and, unlike many places in Thailand, the staff are always busy, making sure that this little piece of paradise is as good as it can possibly be. The rooms are clean, big and well equipped with big comfortable beds. The pool area is spotlessly clean and the pool itself immaculate. The grounds in general are very well looked after. The restaurant serves lovely food at very reasonable prices. It's not a cheap place to stay but it's well worth the extra cost, if you want a bit of luxury. A big thank you and well done to the lovely Tit and all of the staff.

Absolutely loved this hotel. First impressions were how kind and welcoming the staff are and how clean the whole place is. We were welcomed by Tit and his team who gave us cool drinks and showed us our room. Gorgeous room (swim up room) with sun loungers and then direct access to the pool which was spotless. The pool is cleaned early mornings by a member of the team. The room was very tidy with lots of storage and a fridge, a counter with a kettle and two bottles of water provided. The towels smell lovely. We were told if we needed anything at all to just ask and then left to settle in and relax. It’s very quiet and peaceful, especially at night. The breakfasts were absolutely exceptional. Best I’ve ever had in Thailand. We were given a menu and told to ask for anything we wanted off the lists and it was made fresh to order. The bacon, omelettes and pancakes were perfectly cooked and delicious. I miss the omelettes already! Very generous portions and after we finished we were asked “more coffee? More juice? More food?” Honestly, those staff are wonderful. Kae is funny and happy and helpful, she is an asset to the team. They are all wonderful. The island itself is beautiful. The food is gorgeous and fresh (everywhere we went it was delicious) the people are so kind and friendly. I would say that the mook lamai is without a doubt my favourite hotel in all of Thailand. You MUST try this place. Thank you all for your hard work. We loved being your guests and will definitely be returning in the future. Also, I’d like to add that the gardeners work so so hard to keep the grounds pristine. Such a fantastic team of people who all work as a team to ensure this hotel is excellent in every way.
