Hoteles de 3 estrellas en Ko Chang

We have been staying here three nights now, and have three nights left. I booked it the night before we arrived, and was not sure what to expect since our two first choises was fully booked. How lucky we were! We are very experienced travellers, and have stayed in numerous hotels in Thailand. After a brief discussion, we agrèed that this is the best place so far. The resort is owned by a nice german/thai couple. We booked a bungalow with sea view, and it is perfect. ”Sea view” here is an understatement. The only thing you see when looking straight out from the balcony and bedroom, is the sky and the sea. Love sitting outside in the morning, sipping coffee and listen to the birds and the waves. Everything works perfect in the bungalow. Big bedroom with both a/c and fan. Same with the livingroom. Good and reasonably priced minibar. Fast wifi. Excellent breakfast. Not buffet, but you order from a menu with a huge variety. We ate dinner in the restaurant the other night, and was very satisfied. Plenty of restarants nearby. The austrian next door, and the With Elephant across the road both serve good food. Very nice and quiet pool area. Staff is excellent as well. This is the first place we have stayed where the room has been cleaned while we were eating breakfast. 10 mins walk to White sand beach. We highly reccomend this place!!

Las camas estaban cómodas, los cortinas para cerrar su cama. Bajo la cama hay un almacén en el piso por cama. En la habitación hay un baño con ducha/tocador. Hay también un baño mutuo con más WC y duchas. Las habitaciones son grandes, el desayuno es bueno, la playa es muy buena en el primer lugar. Pero, desgraciadamente, nuestra habitación tenía bugs de cama! Estoy llena de mordidas en las piernas y brazos después de la visita. Primero pensé que serían mordidas de arena volando basadas en otras opiniones. Pero no había muchas alas de arena en la playa. Después de investigar las piezas de bugs de cama, estoy convencido ahora de que estas son las piezas de cama. Típicos tres piezas en una fila en muchos lugares en mis piernas que están horriblemente picante ... Muy mal recuerdo de vacaciones.

Absolutely beautiful resort, the landscaping and the buildings design is stunning. As are the two swimming pools, beach from restaurant with great food, the beach itself was wonderful, so quiet and you felt like had a private island. I swam every day. Most importantly - the staff here go above and beyond everyone from manager, to housekeeping, front of house, gardeners, pool staff, restaurant staff, the whole team at Coconut beach were very kind people and I'll always remember that. Very sad to be leaving, absolute paradise. Also very close to 7/11, street vendors, massage and cafes/restaurants.

So, where do I start!? I've given them 3/5 as any lower is mean based on the fact they are trying. Sort of. Our (sea view deluxe suite) room was not as described. They have many variants of each room type , but they use a collection of photos from each room to create ”one room”. This means when you arrive your room won't be as you expected it. Our ”suite” was sold with pictures (and description) as being a Thai style house, with separate living area, a sun drenched reading area / lounge, and a double sized outdoor sun lounging terrace. £95 a night (half price apparently, according to ***********). The reality was one large bedroom, one bathroom. No lounge. The far walls were painted breeze block with a TV attached that you cant realistically watch unless standing. No phone. Nothing. Very basic for £95. Sun deck half the size of the photos. My complaints were met with confusion by a teenage reception trainee. I got the distinct feeling I was not the first to complain. The photos sold a wooden panelled Thai house with sun room. We got a very large square largely-empty room. Excitement of a treat turned to disappointment. We eventually got moved to a private pool suite. Nice room (way way nicer then the other) but the pool is on the shaded side, facing the road and a strip / ****** club. A novelty as you won't use it other than first thing in the morning when it gets the sun ( the pool , not the *******). We subsequently downgraded to a garden view room which was, in fairness, lovely. The beach is superb. Clear water, gets deep fairly fast. Nice swings and hammocks. The bar staff are lovely and could not do enough to help. Always willing to extend happy hour :-) special thanks to Yoyo and his dark haired friend who were a joy to deal with. The food is fine but severely limited. Fried rice 10 ways, or chicken nuggets. It's a crying shame as the beach bar empties before 9pm. There is so much more on offer only yards away down the road. The food offering is cut back and lazy. The top infinity pool is stunning,and often,you are the only ones there. Dec 2022 and they had not filled it completely until a week of being here . One one occasion we went up to find three divers doing their PADI in the pool. Rather cheeky! The bottom pool is unused. Tips: do not let the young trainee take any kind of bookings. I'm going to call her ”smiles a lot”. Smiles A Lot will give you a firm price for extending your stay after being on the phone to her boss, down to the last baht. When you go to move rooms she will deny you had an entire conversation the previous day, smile, blink, smile, and ignore there is any issue. Her colleague said ”she is just a trainee”, we said, ” we now have nowhere to stay.!!”. Useless. After two years of no trade, I get it, they are recovering, but this place is fairly run down. It took a week for large tubs of building materials to be removed from the top pool area. They are getting there though. It improves every day. The family po

This hotel has been operating for over 10 yrs. It was good back then and still a good vibe here. Its got to be the best budget option on Lonely beach for sure. The room I was allocated was so clean, nice and had a new feel about it. Large bathroom and fridge in the room. Good price Restaurant food is not bad. The Cambodians working there are friendly. But I imagine they dont suffer fools. If you treat them well they will treat you well. If I were management I would probably keep a closer eye on them to make sure they are being polite to all customers. If you plan to walk into town at nighttime you need a torch. Its not far but dangerous in the dark with the bikes and cars zipping past. Highly recommend this hotel and restaurant. Right on the stunning beach. White sand and nice water. Cant wait to go back!

What I liked: Beachfront villa was really nice, the porch furniture was highly appreciated and sleeping to the sound of the waves was perfect. The villa itself is not the most modern one or the cleanest one, but it has everything you need. Location – right on Kai Bae beach, close to a lot of shops and restaurants and sometimes you can see the elephants in the water. The bar is nice for sunset, the people are very friendly and the drinks are good. What I did not like: Breakfast - one of the worse food qualities around the island. The butter is actually the vegetable margerine thing, low selection on fruits (pinneaple and grapes?), one type of yogurt which is very sweet and filled with sugar, even the spring rolls and pancakes seem frozen. No beach chairs available – maybe this would be nice at least for the beachfront villas. The beach gets super crowded during the day (at least in high season) so you barely have any place to relax. Also - it is a beach with a lot of families with kids, so it is always very very very noisy - not event on nice deck of your bungalow you cannot get some quiet time during the day. The 2 massage beds are right next to the bar and to the lawn where the big families with kids gather. There is no privacy or no way to enjoy the relaxing waves during the massage because of the bar noises and the kids scraming on the lawn litteraly 2 meters away from you. Spoty electricity and wifi – I have to say that the days and nights were very windy and this could be related.

Stayed at the White Knot in Jan -24 for 5 nights and even if the hotel isn't especially old (5-10y) it's quite run down on the outside. Don't let the pictures fool you it looks nothning like the pics. The ”pool” should be called a foot-bath since it's really small, noone uses it. The reception was unmanned when we arrived and the staff hardly knows any english so took a while before we where able to check in and get our rooms. Beach is so-so with quite alot of gravel and branches and leaves. Sun chairs? naa rather ordinary plastic chairs - we went to other beaches nearby instead. On the good side - apartments/rooms are quite cosy with a fairly big bathrom, clean and realtively high standard. Internet/Wi-Fi is really good, you will get european standards in the reception area (150-200Mbps) and around 25-40Mbps in the rooms - this is among the best i've seen during our 4-week stay in Thailand. All in all you're probably better of chosing a different hotel, there are quite many in the same price range that are alot better.

-The hotel is right next to the beach and the grounds are beautiful and well kept, -The room was modern and comfortable, -Entertainment in the evening, we enjoed watching some great musicians and fire shows, -The pool over looks the beach which is great for watching sunsets, -Great location at the end of White Sand Beach with lots of shops and restaurants next door Cons -We arrived in the morning and understandably our room wasn't ready so we waited until they told us it was but after the check in time at 2pm we had heard nothing from them so we asked if we could check in, apparently our room still wasn't ready, we asked how long and they wouldn’t tell us, in the end we waited another 45mins for it to be ready. It all seemed very unorganised and stressful. -We asked for a double bed but it was 2 singles pushed together so we had a hard wooden frame in the middle of our bed, -The hook to hold the shower up didn't work so we had to manually hold the shower head whilest showering, -Basic breakfast (although the egg station was nice), -Upon check in we were asked to pay a cash deposit and when checking out they didn't give it back to us, we only remembered when we had left the hotel and had to go back and get it. The receptionist apologised and said he forgot

El hotel es el mismo que en las fotos, la hermosa área de la piscina recién renovada, la playa justo en frente del hotel es absolutamente una ventaja. Sin embargo, tengo que quejarme del terrible servicio que proporcionó Trip.com. Reservé una habitación doble tailandesa sencilla. Sin embargo, la habitación en la que me registré es completamente diferente a las fotos que proporcionó Trip.com. Es absolutamente una trampa. Básicamente, las fotos que se muestran en Trip.com para tailandés simple, es en realidad una habitación local tailandesa, que es una habitación recientemente renovada. Sin embargo, tenga en cuenta que el Simple Thai es la habitación antigua. (Consulte la foto que subí para la sala local tailandesa) Durante mi estadía, intenté todos los medios que pude para ponerme en contacto con Trip.com e intentar resolver el problema. Pero tampoco cumplieron su promesa de cambiar mi habitación, y es una experiencia totalmente ridícula con el servicio de atención al cliente de Trip.com.
