Beautiful, park like grounds with spacious, lovely rooms. But the area where it was located was not very nice, the food was not very good and it took an hour to arrive at the table (although the staff were very nice)

I loved every staff member that met us From the gate To the reception- Vincent was an amazing day assistant. The surprise honeymoon gift we found at the hotel room, thank you! We truly appreciated and enjoyed Chef Gerald's friendliness and generosity. Chef Irene's pastries are just the best. We thank God for the waitresses, Alice, Phlevian, Ann and their supervisor Dan! Arnold at the gym was very welcome and Loyan too! Let's just say, Ciala was a memorable experience ... And yes! To revisiting

Nice setting and rooms clean and well maintained. However good impression then ends. Only one room key card can be provided even if two guests are in the room, the reception was clear in explaining their system only alllows for one key to be issued and the first will be invaladated if another key card issued. We were staying overnight for a party with 4 guests in two rooms and thus constantly had to either prop the doors open or keep opening and closing the doors while people dressed and prepared for the party. Later when one of the partygoers left before the end of the party to sleep and rest that sleep and rest was disturbed having to open the door as those who had stayed could not enter the room as they did not have their own key! I have to say in years of staying in hotels around the world I have never found any hotel unable to issue the amount of keys for the amount of people booked for the room, not all guests will want to stay together for the whole stay, this needs to be remedied ASAP. Whilst the food is good the service is very slow and disorganised, mid afternoon it took over a hour to take the order and serve 4 drinks and a plate of samosas and chips and another 20 mins to get the bill. The staff are pleasant enough but dont seem to be very focused

My stay at Ciala Resort was absolutely exceptional. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with warm hospitality and a serene environment that instantly made me feel at ease. The resort is beautifully maintained with lush gardens, modern yet cozy architecture, and stunning views — the perfect escape from the hustle of everyday life. The rooms were spotless, spacious, and thoughtfully designed with comfortable beds, elegant decor, and all the amenities I needed. I especially loved waking up to the sound of birds and enjoying my morning coffee on the balcony with a peaceful view. The staff at Ciala go above and beyond to ensure every guest feels valued. Everyone was incredibly friendly, helpful, and professional — whether at reception, the restaurant, or around the resort.

It was quite an awesome experience for my family.I would definitely come back again.The food was delicious and the amenities made it possible for us to be in the same place and have different experiences.The well equiped gym and the spa did me and my husband justice and we felt so relaxed.The kids enjoyed the swimming pool and the games.The staff were very friendly it's like they knew what to do before you asked.

My wife and I hooked up to the top of Maragoli Hill with our guide, Tom Calvince, the week of July 6, 2025. Round trip was about 9 miles and took about 4 hours with 30 minutes at the top (about 5,900 feet). 1,600 feet elevation gain. Tom took his time to ensure we are safe and paused whenever we needed to catch our breath. Great experience and amazing views of kisumu and it's surroundings!

Ciala resort has the best customer service The staff were courteous,helpful,attentive and ready to help It was my first time here and would definitely come back again. I was just here for a night but looking forward to a longer stay. The rooms were well lit,comfortable, clean and stocked with essentials Special mention to Molly,Vincent ,Phylis and Tom .Atleast those are the names I managed to memorise The hr did score a perfect one with these ones. Keep it up ciala team. You have exceeded my expectations.
