Mare Paphos

The Baby crèche is an absolutely amazing experience at this hotel! They do stay and play as well as drop off sessions for 2 hours babies 6-36 months, my little one is 8 months and she had the time of her life with Vicky & Kelly-Ann I’ll be forever grateful! It’s nerve wracking to leave your little one but was so nice to feel in safe hands, they both spoke perfect English and were really lovely & welcoming, there was a large amount of toys for the relevant ages and they did tailored fun sessions.

Second visit to this hotel. First was in August last year. Hotel was a little quieter this time around (Easter holidays) but staff levels were down that much you was queuing by the pool for drinks whereas last year there was more people but more staff so you was getting served a lot quicker. Can’t blame the staff they work so hard. Food again was okay, I’m a fussy eater so I can’t really complain. Snack bar is probably the best I’ve been too. Great facilities and views. Location could be slightly better, a little closer to the harbour and the centre of paphos. There is a bus stop outside so this helps. We had some cockroaches in the room (1216). Last year nothing and I’ve been to Cyprus 5 times and never once seen them. Plenty of lizards but not cockroaches. They seemed to be coming from the AC. Was reported twice but nothing really got done about it. I would stay again in a few years just not in room 1216 or anywhere on that floor! Would have been 4/5* if not for the certainly puts me off unfortunately.

To the Management of Mare Paphos, We’ve just completed our fourth consecutive visit to your wonderful hotel, and once again, we leave with full hearts and the utmost appreciation for the entire team at Mare Paphos. Over the years, we’ve watched as Christos and his team have made fantastic improvements, year after year. The hotel keeps going from strength to strength, meeting and exceeding our high expectations each and every time. It’s truly a testament to the vision and dedication of the management. The team are an absolute credit to your hotel group. We’d especially like to thank Kellyanne and Pedro, who have gone above and beyond to keep the entire family entertained throughout our stay. Their energy, warmth, and attention to everyone—children and adults alike—ensured that no one ever felt left out. They genuinely made our holiday special. At reception, Theodore stood out for his professionalism and care. He made every effort to assist us, even engaging the children with warmth and patience while helping us with our bookings and questions. David also deserves recognition for his thoughtfulness, going the extra mile to book a table for my birthday celebration without hesitation. And what a birthday surprise that turned out to be! To my amazement, Kellyanne had arranged a beautiful birthday treat, complete with a delicious chocolate cake—making sure I didn’t feel I’d missed my special day while away from home. That personal touch meant the world to me. A special mention must go to the elderly lady at the Cabana Bar kitchen—always smiling, polite, and helpful, even while working in what must be extreme temperatures. Her positivity has been lovely to see each day. As someone with many years of experience in the food industry, I was truly impressed with the main buffet offerings throughout the week. Every breakfast, lunch, and dinner was outstanding. The sous chef with short black hair stood out with his friendly manner, always checking in to see if we needed anything further and making a point of speaking to us and the children regularly. It’s so refreshing to see the kitchen team engaging with guests—a real mark of quality and hospitality. The theme nights this year have also been the best we’ve seen so far—creative, well-executed, and delicious. Finally, as always, our heartfelt thanks go to Christos, the General Manager, for making our family holidays truly exceptional over the past four years.
