Copper Kettle B&B

We had the apartment which was very luxuriously appointed. The guest house is close to the main eating area so it's very conveniently situated. At the moment you have to go to the Fairview Hotel which is just down the road to pick up the keys, and also to have breakfast. Despite what it says here, the Copper Kettle is on Lewis Street on the opposite side of the road to the close to car park, not College Street.

Would not recommend this place. I had almost the exact same experience as the review from September. I booked two nights at the Copper Kettle which is run by the Fairview Hotel. When I arrived to the hotel to check in I was told by the front desk attendant at the Fairview that they would have to move me “just down the street” to another B&B and they would move me to the correct room the desk day. The other B&B was almost a ten minute walk away further away from the city center. I was given a complementary breakfast at the hotel that runs the Copper Kettle so when I finished the following morning at 10 I asked to check into my correct room, the desk attendant told me I would not be able to check in until 3 PM. After I said that that was not right he told he could get it ready for noon, I came back at 12:30 and was told “it had been ready since 11 for me”. The desk attendant was rude and never once apologized. I emailed the company asking for an adequate refund for the switch, interruption to my vacation, and inconvenience but they offered me nothing, instead indicated that the plumber was stuck in traffic and everything that could have been done had been done. Again, no real apology instead wrote “sorry you feel this way” Definitely avoid this place.

A group of 11 of us stayed for a weekend. A great house to book for a family gathering or walking groups, with great walks around the area. It's very central. The house was spotless and our lovely host, Jim, couldn't do enough for us.

Caithfidh tú siúl ón B&B é féin go dtí an óstán Fairview atá 100m nó mar sin uaigh chun seiceáil isteach nó amach, agus bricfeasta a ithe, ach mar sin féin is fiú é toisc an féasta breá mór a chuireann siad ar fáil. Tá na seomraí compordach agus mór go leor. Lóistín den scoth é amach is amach. Loved our stay here and we will be coming again next year!
