The Gardens Hotel isn't just a hotel, it's an experience. Picture meandering paths, with tropical flora and fauna all around you. Ponds with fish, birds, and even several turtles. Sparkling pools, with plenty of shade, and a pool bar to enjoy a cocktail. A special thank you to our bartender, Phil, who took such good care of all of us. We really looked forward to our breakfast every morning outside by the pool. Thank you to the entire staff, for being so friendly and welcoming. The service at this property is top notch, along with the accommodations. Our cottage was absolutely perfect.

My wife has stayed at multiple places in Key West, but of them all, this place is head and shoulders the BEST! Location is as central as you’ll find just a half block off Duval and yet somehow, you can’t hear anything of Duval once you enter the grounds. Beautiful. Classy. Romantic. Sophisticated-yet-relaxed. Room (Carriage House) was the nicest I’ve ever stayed in. The ambiance of cocktail jazz infuses the air. Staff are very friendly. Breakfast is excellent. Wine selection and “arcade-style” tasting mechanism is brilliant. The grounds are lush yet organized and immaculate: a true mature, garden menagerie. Fellow-guests are all friendly—there is a feel like everyone is part of the cast/atmosphere playing out. There is no place I’d ever stay in Key West. Can’t wait to come back.

The Gardens Hotel is a beautiful adult only hotel, located steps from Duvall Street. I didn’t know what to expect when I booked, but was so impressed with the grounds, the rooms, the staff and vibe. Totally laid back, and chill. Bar and live music ends around 7 if you prefer quiet evenings. But if you’re looking for more, just head over to Duvall where there are a plethora of dining and drinking options. The grounds truly are exquisite with hand curated art & sculptures in the meticulously cared for gardens, including a koi pond and tortoises. The lush foliage is a nice retreat from the heat, too. A wonderful experience for my husband & I!

Amazing. Only word I can think of. Location was awesome. Rooms were well appointed with high-end decor and a super comfy bed and pillows. Felt like I was on an exclusive resort but only a block from Duval. The breakfast included was awesome. And the staff was super friendly. We will be back.

Where do I begin... really wish I could give this 10 stars because that what they deserve..BEST LOCATION by far..i call it tropical paradise because that's exactly what you'll feel like your in ... quiet hidden little gem walking distance to everything you need, shopping, restaurants, beaches, live music and the list goes on...10 stars for customer service, as soon as you get there Rhoda couldn't be sweeter and very informative... the cleaning service was spectacular... even leaves a basket full of all necessity by your door when you have a do not disturb sign up.. and as far as the owner, 10 stars times 2... didn't meet her but she thought of EVERY little thing you need for your vacation... it could take another 3 paragraphs to write everything she has at the resort for you but I promise you if you forget anything she will definitely have it there for you, she thought of everything!!! she definitely hires the best... the server Jose very attentive, made sure you had everything you needed.. again I could go on and on but I promise you will not be disappointed, I'm already looking forward to going back and I just left

This is a beautiful hotel in the heart of old Towne in Key West. The location is perfect for walking around the town. We stayed for four nights. The service by staff is amazing. They go out of their way to really get to know you. It's a small boutique hotel with lots of gardens and privacy. The room are decorated in antique furniture and original art. The mattresses are comfortable and room is quiet. They offer breakfast that is different every morning and delicious. We loved everything about this hotel. We highly recommend it and hope to return again!

We just returned from our stay at The Gardens Hotel. This year marks our 25th year staying there. Its world class accommodations, serene beauty and attention to every detail is what brings us back year after year. It starts upon arrival from a long flight being warmly greeted at the desk with one of the wonderful staff, Nancy, Ray or Rhoda & a glass of cold prosecco. Our room is always ready when we arrive. The king bed is soft & luxurious. . The lovely pool is surrounded by lush palms & flowers, a fountain and meandering enchanted gardens, tortoises and of course Lucy the cat. A delicious breakfast is served daily by Jose which is delightfully enjoyed by the pool. Sunday Night is lively Jazz Night & enjoyed by the guests who can sit out on their porches & listen & enjoy. Location- Location- Location - The Gardens Hotel offers such peaceful tranquility but busy Duval Street is just a hop skip & jump away. The pool bar is a meeting place for great stories & a great margarita thanks to Peggy & Phillip. Many Thanks to Kate Miano, the owner who has kept Peggy Mills dream alive and her wonderful team General ManagerJim Marquardt for making it all run smooth & Nancy, Rhoda, Ray, Peggy, & Phillip for their hospitality & always making us feel like family. See you in 2025 for more wonderful memories.
