Another amazing stay at Lodore Falls Hotel and Spa. We booked a suite once again as the last time we stayed our suite was absolutely wonderful and well worth the extra money. This time we stayed in the spa building again on the 3rd floor. We had a view over the spa and out to the lake and a balcony with views onto the fells. The sure was huge with plenty of seating and space to relax. The bedroom was separated with a room divider which made it feel cosy. The bathroom was huge with gorgeous shower looking out onto the fells. You also get entry to the spa included with your room. The spa is beautiful, a lovely atmosphere and a good selection of facilities. Various heat experiences, showers, outdoor sauna etc. the relaxation area is lovely too. The infinity pool was my favourite and the views are to die for! The cocktails in the champagne bar were delicious and perfect to have whilst enjoying the views! We booked the Boxing Day sale offer so we also got breakfast included - we had this in our suite and it was delicious! This was easy to order and you can specify a time to have it delivered. We also got an allowance for dinner which we could use in either the falls brasserie or Mizu. This time we went to Mizu and had a fabulous meal. We don’t usually eat a lot of Asian food so we order a selection of things to try with the help of the staff. Food was amazing, service was great and there was a lovely atmosphere in the restaurant. I can’t fault our stay here at all. Everything was spotlessly clean, the staff were very welcoming - I can’t wait for our next stay!

The place its self is beautiful inside and out . We went for my brother s 60th for Sunday lunch , sun was shining everywhere perfect clean modern perfect. The food on the other hand was average, for that reason I would not recommend. It wouldn’t have taken much to improve it was just very bland , Had to remind staff 2 times we hadn’t got our drinks , I used the disabled loo and the door wouldn’t close , luckily I’m not in a wheelchair so I used the other . This was bad as if you were in a wheelchair and got onto the loo the door said it closed automatically but it wouldn’t I didn’t complain at the time because I was someone s guest I’m on crutches so it was easier to go elsewhere . After the event all of our party agreed with these views .

We had a weekend stay for a family wedding. Our lakeside balcony room was comfortable and well equipped. The food in the Brasserie was delicious. The spa was excellent. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The location is outstanding. A perfect venue for a wedding.

The Hotel Ladore Falls really lived up to our expectations! Beautiful location with gorgeous views over Derwentwater and surrounding hills. Service is second to none and the friendliness of the staff is great. Would thoroughly recommend this great hotel.

Fabulous hotel and spa. The facilities are first class. The view, which ever way you look, is absolutely wonderful. My only reservation was, as a wheelchair user, the disabled access suite was not ideal. The bed was too high (by about 3 inches) so transfers were awkward, and the shaving mirror in the otherwise perfect bathroom, was set for someone standing up, no use if you are in a wheelchair. I also found the bed and pillows too firm for my liking, but that's individual preference.

Food,food,food, chef needs to consider ethics. Stayed here for 3 nights and overall the food was disappointing for a 4 star hotel. Worst scenario was when my wife ordered the cauliflower main which should have come with cauliflower purée, koffman fries, dukka and spring onion. The plate arrived with no purée, no dukka or spring onion and included mash potatoes which wasn't on the plate description!!! I pointed this out to the waitress who went back to the chef(we asked not to take the plate with her) she subsequently returned, saying that the purée was "under" the cauliflower which it wasn't and we showed it to the server and the manager who both agreed. They came back with the dukka, spring onion and ...... wait for it..... more mash potatoes and then saying there wasn't any purée. The manager provided a refund of our mains £56 but the issue here is not money it's about the integrity of a chef trying to pull the wool over s customers eyes. In relation to breakfast, there is no point in presenting a plate that is hot when the food is cold, full breakfast was like this as were eggs Benedict. The Benedict hollandaise is obviously from a packet and lacked any texture or taste. Sorry I am just being honest based on our experience. The ribeye was excellent though 👏

Lovely spa and clean hotel with lovely views evening food lovely but the worst breakfast we have ever encountered make sure you pick a lake facing view as we had a room at the rear of the hotel which had noisy kitchen fans so kept us awake at night. Please note the hotel does not take cash for oayments

Beautiful hotel, fantastic location. Really enjoyed our stay, can't recommend this place enough. We stayed for 3 nights and made use of the Spa on two occasions, stunning, great value for money. Exceptional room that overlooked the Spa and the Lake. Great staff and delicious food. Could not fault this place. We will be back same time next year.

We had been bought a voucher for this hotel as a gift. I was a bit unsure having read a few poor reviews but needn’t have worried. Everything we experienced was first class. The furnishings and decor in the communal areas are beautiful. Our room was modern and spotlessly clean. The spa pool was absolutely fantastic especially as we happened to be there in hot sunny weather . Slightly annoying that we had to pay extra for it but afterwards I felt it was worth every penny. The food in the brasserie was delicious! A very varied and interesting menu. Breakfast was lovely. Every member of staff we came across was welcoming/ friendly and polite. All in all a great few days away. I honestly am shocked this hotel only gets four dots on Tripadvisor 🤷🏻♀️ Highly recommended.
