Brierley Hill Bed & Breakfast

We had an amazing weekend at the Blue Ridge Cottage at the Inn at Brierley Hill! The owners are wonderful and make you feel at home! The cottage was beautiful, the hot tub was perfect and the daily breakfast was amazing! We will definitely be back!

We had a wedding in Lexington and decided to stay at The Brierley Hill B&B. It was the best decision we made! The Innkeepers, Michele and Derick were wonderful and made us feel right at home. Our room (Mountain View) was fantastic - beautifully appointed and very large with a fireplace and king size bed that was wonderfully comfortable. We also had a view of the mountains on all sides of the room! The breakfast was tasty and for our first night they left us a platter of chocolate chip cookies that were delicious! Lexington downtown was only 7 minutes away with great restaurants and shops. Had we been able to stay longer we would have hit up the museums. We definitely plan on going back!

This is where you want to stay in the Lexington area! The Inn is beautiful. Everything is so clean and comfortable. The bed, the linens, the pillows... all provide an amazing night's sleep. Then there are the windows. Everywhere. The views are spectacular no matter which room you are in. Our April visit provided amazing blooming ornamental trees as well as the spectacular view of the valley. While you are there, you can sip beverages all day. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate, or espresso are readily available. But breakfast time is where you really see what sets this Inn apart from others. You pick your meal items the night before for the time you choose and it arrives perfectly prepared. Don't forget to try the granola as well. Superb. Add a glass of juice. It's all right there. The most important factors at Inn at Brierley HIll are the "Innkeepers" Derick and Michele. They will be your new best friends. Their joy in the Inn and concern for your stay is apparent from the moment you step in the door. It feels like you are visiting friends you didn't know you had. You can visit VMI or Washington & Lee. Wander through the town of Lexington. Go further afield to see caverns or the Natural Bridge. Or just stay on the grounds and relax. Whatever you want to do, start at the Inn at Brierley Hill.

The Inn is a beautiful property--i stayed in the Lexington cottage which is apart from the main Inn and has a living room and separate bedroom w fireplace and a large bathroom with both tub and walk-in shower. Everything is first class but the best part of the stay was the "Innkeepers" Michele and Derick who both bend over backwards to make your stay enjoyable. Breakfast is custom-made to order, not the usual hotel buffet. It's a B&B so no restaurant--just breakfast. Bed was super-comfortable and the location is quiet and peaceful. Would definitely stay there again. The only minor complaint i had was there was no closet or armoire to hang clothes but the Innkeepers said they have made a list for the owners who are eager to hear feedback.

The Inn at Brierley Hill just outside Lexington is specially built to be a very comfortable, relaxing place to stay. Our room had a bedroom, large bathroom, and a living area with a covered patio space with swing. We had two fireplaces—inside and out—and coffee service and refrigerator. Every morning, we enjoyed a delicious breakfast that we ordered the night before. The hosts were very responsive to any request and helpful in setting up the television or lighting the fire. There are lovely walks and Lexington has an excellent book shop and lots of restaurant options. We focused on relaxation and we ticked that box!

Wonderful stay at the Blue Ridge Cottage. We came to Lexington for a quick anniversary trip. So glad we chose to stay at Brierley Hill. From the moment we arrived and we're greeted by the gracious hosts, Derick and Michele, to the delicious breakfasts in the dining room looking out at the beautiful vistas, this was a stay to remember. We have stayed at B&B's in the past and this was by far the best. Looking forward to our next visit.
