6 days prior to my visit, I reserved & paid in full for a room. After paying, I received an e-mail confirmation of the reservation. At 9am the day of my reservation, I received another e-mail confirmation about my paid reservation & it mentioned the check in process. However, when my child & I arrived at the hotel that evening exhausted and in need of rest, the front desk staff explained the hotel had overbooked so they didn’t have any available rooms at all. The room had been paid in full a week in advance so I fail to understand how my child and I were the ones left without a safe place to stay late at night while traveling out of state. Despite knowing there wasnt a room for me, no attempts were made by management to refund the cost I paid for the room. There is no excuse for selling rooms that have already been reserved and paid in full. The front desk employee said management told her I had been sent a follow up email stating the room had been cancelled but I did not receive any such email. And this does not explain why my prepaid room was given away since I doubt the every room in the hotel for that specific night was overbooked and prepaid a full week in advance and no one noticed until the day of. Meaning my prepaid reserved room was not held until I arrived for check in.
