Travelodge Kendal Town Centre

We stayed at Kendal town centre Travelodge and had a lovely stay, great staff, clean rooms, close to town, i would definitely stay again and pass on my lovely experience.

We have stayed here before and find it a good base for visiting the lakes and surrounding areas. We were welcomed by Angela, who was very professional and had a warming nature, also nothing was too much trouble for her. She is a credit to the company. We will be visiting again in the future.

Great location and parking General areas were clean. Second room was nice, first was stinky and had a dirty bathroom.

Right in the heart of Kendal with a lovely scenic short walk to the town centre, walking along the riverside. Really beautiful 👍

I didn't appreciate having to pay to use WiFi and the hotel breakfast was garbage. They give you half an hour of free WiFi a day but what they don't explain is once you start it and begins a timer, so if you disable it after a minute, it's still using up your allowance. I ended up having to pay for it. I had breakfast both mornings around 8:30 and each time there was hardly any food out, two sausages, tomatoes, that was it. I then had to sit and waste 20 minutes for more food to eventually come out. On the 2nd day there weren't any plates. Toast wasn't available at all, the small oven used for heating pastries barely worked. No option for me to heat my own waffles, had to ask someone for them so I didn't bother. Tasteless beans. Only one type of sausage despite you advertising a vegan option as well. Just overall mediocre on both days. Didn't get any apology when I raised the issue of the lack of food or any plates to use. Don't waste your money on their overpriced mediocre breakfast. Walk 5 minutes into the town to a local cafe instead, like I should have done.

Nice comfortable beds, basic but pleasant rooms. Breakfast was lovely. It’s also in a very convenient location for all that Kendal has to offer. It offers all that you’d expect from a basic hotel, but the friendly staff make this above average. We will stay here again.
