Holiday Home Kelaa

We spent with a family 8 nights at HHK. We booked a family room, these are actually two units connected. Great location, a minute walk from the beach, very friendly stuff made our experience even better. The rooms were nice and clean, both A/C and wifi worked perfectly. The food was delicious, local style. We decided to take half board, giving us an opportunity to explore Kelaa village. The island is big for Maldivian standards, with a charming village and astonishing 2km long white sandy beach. The lagune is great for swimming, you may even spot turtles, although the visibility was too low to find them with a mask. There is no house reef but HHK organizes snorkeling trips to the nearby reef for a good price. We saw plenty of sharks and had a great encounter with manta ray. One thing to mention are mosquitos at the evening, but hey that’s nature. All in all, we had a great time at HHK, and can highly recommend it if you are looking for guest house type of accommodation. If you are looking for a peaceful inhabited island, where you can wander around, experience local culture and food, plus enjoy one of the longest & empty white sandy beach, than you should definitely put Kelaa and Holiday Home Kelaa on top of your list. Amazing stay at holiday home kelaa. The room was well equipped, clean and very private. Our host was fantastic and catered very well to our needs. We had a wonderful decorated birthday dinner with birthday cake, which made our stay very special. The island is peaceful with lots of nice scenery. Definitely a true authentic local island vibe. Would recommend.

I had an excellent stay at this guesthouse on Kelaa Island! The place was spotless, and the air conditioning worked incredibly well, making the room very comfortable. The staff was responsive and kind; special thanks to the host, Ibbe, for his kindness and quick response when I arrived to find my original booking at another hotel was unexpectedly closed. He welcomed me into his guesthouse without hesitation and made sure I was comfortable. One of the highlights was the fishing trip, which was really fun and full of variety in the catch. The best part was enjoying my catch for dinner the next evening. Upon arrival, I was welcomed with a refreshing coconut drink, a very nice touch! The room had everything I needed, and there was daily room service. The guesthouse even provides free bikes, which made it easy to explore the island. Plus, the beach is only 50 meters away—a huge bonus! The food was delicious and offered a good variety, with the staff taking into account any small preferences I had. I highly recommend this guesthouse for anyone looking to experience true Maldivian hospitality! Although Kelaa Island is far from Malé, it’s one of the best choices for a peaceful getaway. The island is calm, untouched by mass tourism, and offers a truly relaxing experience

When we were choosing an island for our third trip to the Maldives, our choice fell on Haa Alif atoll. I won’t lie, we didn’t immediately decide to change the islands close to Male to the more distant island of Kelaa. But the choice turned out to be successful, and the success of our holiday as a whole was associated with the choice of the Holiday Home Kelaa guest house. It was a truly excellent home for our holiday: welcoming, superbly located, with excellent levels of comfort and privacy. All our wishes, even the most insignificant ones, were carefully perceived and implemented. The food was varied and took into account our taste preferences. The snorkeling trips were well organised. It's so wonderful when your vacation turns out even better than you could have imagined! The hotel owner, Ibbe, managed to assemble such a team and organize the work in such a way that a holiday at Holiday Home Kelaa becomes not just excellent, but completely problem-free. We stayed for a week at HHK for relaxation and for the purpose of exploring a new place in Maldives. We loved and enjoyed every moment with this beautiful hotel at Kelaa. We tried to find a really good place by google maps as we always preferred to stay at place close to the beach, we got connected with Ibbe via WhatsApp, the communications were very prompt, professional and efficient. Ibbe helped to make sure that were pampered throughout our stay along with the incredible team. The moment we arrived at the beautiful island Kelaa we were welcomed with cold towels and a refreshing drink. We got escorted to the hotel immediately. The jetty where we arrived was located by a 3 minutes walk to the hotel. After a quick registration process we were already at our beautiful room. The room we booked was located on the ground floor which had all amenities we needed from bottled water to bathroom amenities, kettle to make hot water for coffee/tea and the TV which we did not use at all and much more. There was an outdoor shower that we used a lot, It is rare to find outdoor showers in most of the guest houses we stayed before. We enjoyed all the meals provided by the hotel, local breakfasts, customized lunches and special dinners - all were beyond our expectations. It felt so lively to have the ambient music at the public areas of the hotel at all times (Ibbe has a very good taste for relaxing Music) We explored the island, swimming (the beach was located so close from the hotel - a 3 minutes walk), bike rides, fishing trips and BBQ. Manta snorkeling trip was very special and we enjoyed every moment of that trip (we were lucky to spot few dolphins on this trip too). The hotel also had indoor recreation facilities including billiards, football, chess and darts. I strongly recommend to book all the boat activities and excursions with the hotel as it gave more insights to what else can be enjoyed during the trip and on the island. The crew was fun, caring and always gave attention to us and made sure we had a great time even though we were locals. The team at the Holiday Home Kelaa was incredibly friendly and attentive throughout our stay. This guesthouse is extraordinary hidden gem, just 45 minutes plane ride from Male. The second that we arrived, people from guesthouse welcome us very warmly and their hospitality continued every single day that we stayed there. There was never a problem, to fulfill any of our wishes and every day they were nicely chatting with us and made sure, that we have a wonderful time in there guesthouse, for wichI am very thankful. The guesthouse it's in a really good and peaceful area, just few meters away from the stunning bikini beach with sunbeds and umbrellas. The interior of a room in a guesthouse is very nice, clean, comfortable and with good water in bathroom. Room has a private terrace and outdoor shower. Our stay in this guesthouse was excellent and I would recommend to everyone stayingin at Holiday Home Kelaa. I am sure that I will come back, because I had a wonderful and relaxing holidays there, thanks to wonderful and very kind staff from Holiday Home Kelaa. Hope to see you soon.
